Michael A. Grace has been practicing criminal defense in Winston-Salem for over 30 years. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and has represented clients facing minor misdemeanors and serious felony charges. In 2009 he received the Roy A. Taylor Distinguished Alumnus Award from UNC Asheville for his work as a criminal defense attorney. Some of his other recognitions include appointment by as a Commissioner on the Innocence Commission, membership in the Death Penalty Due Process Review Project Committee, and a position as an adjunct professor for the Wake Forest School of Law.
Mike is one of the few attorneys in the local area who represents law enforcement through the Police Benevolent Association. He was also appointed by former President Jimmy Carter to serve as Special Assistant to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice.
