Bennett D. Rainey focuses his practice exclusively in the area of family law and counsels clients on a wide range of divorce-related issues including high conflict child custody and visitation disputes, collaborative divorce, analysis of complex financial matters, prenuptial agreements, adoptions, alimony, and the division of marital assets.
Bennett is a compassionate and trustworthy advocate who is committed to providing his family law clients with high quality services and representation. This starts with having a firm grasp of the facts and issues that make each case unique. Bennett's goal is to help clients secure the best outcomes possible by identifying critical issues, articulating the law's application to particular facts, and arguing for desired results.
Bennett has dedicated himself to helping clients make informed decisions about their cases. This includes being honest with clients about when they should go to trial and when they should settle outside of court. His advice is always based on a concern for his clients' financial well-being and the welfare of their children.
Bennett grew up in Davidson, North Carolina, a small town just north of Charlotte. He was a competitive swimmer throughout his youth and attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) on an athletic scholarship. At UNCW he was co-captain of Men's Swimming & Diving and set the school record in the 200-yard Breaststroke. He majored in History and minored in Psychology.
Bennett graduated magna cum laude from UNCW in 2010 and received his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2013.
