Posted by Deputy Tim Veach is a crooked and reckless fool. | February 06, 2025 | Hired Attorney | Criminal Defense

Daniel James put money over this client and left me high and dry in pre-trial

Mr James with drew from case in the middle of pre-trail because I asked him a simple question “ are you working for me or are you (Mr James) working for the prosecution? It seemed like an innocent question to my wife and I. He wasn’t reassuring and he failed to subpoena important evidence for my defe...nse. His office phone was almost always disconnected and he was difficult to get on the phone. He was late to court on a couple of dates and after only doing 1.5 hours of research for my defense he requested removal from my case and of the $5000 fee he charged me, he only refunded $1000 of it. He seemed to have an ego that was easily hurt by one question. My wife and I felt like he took my case and when a bigger case with better pay came in to his office. He just simply took 4/5ths of his fee and got himself dismissed from case. Leaving me in the middle of pre-trial searching for better representation with far less money and I was still only halfway through the pre-trials and fighting the blatant false complaints and lies of deputy Timothy Veach from Hampshire county. Timothy Veach is a crooked cop who needs to be Brady Listed and removed from law enforcement before he kills a citizen and he costs Hampshire county residents a lot of money in settlements. Veach’s willingness to lie on police reports will bite him and the county in butt soon enough. Hire a fair, honest and intelligent young attorney in Romney by the name of Grant Sherman. He always had me feeling confident in court and his retainer is easier on defense fees.

Good attorney

Dan is smart and gets the job done. He was able to persuade the states attorney to give me a good plea for my criminal case. He did an excellent job of covering all the issues related to my case. He is very busy but its worth it when he gets around to actually representing his clients. I thought he r...ate was a bit steep but can you really place a price when it comes to your future ability to find employment. The state was very unfair in my case but it seems Dan had the ability to get through to them.
