Debra V. Chafin

Mrs. Chafin and her office are amazing! She, her husband, and her office staff were extremely helpful throughout the entire process of my step-parent adoption and contempt hearing. They were all readily available with answers to my many questions, no matter how late into the evening, as this was all ...unfamiliar to me. They were always professional and very knowledgeable, good at explaining in understandable terms. She knew the facts of my case like it was her own personal experience. She was invested in my case and getting the outcome my children deserved. She and her staff were successful, and my children were adopted by my husband. Throughout the process, a contempt hearing, and an appeal hearing, were initiated by the other party. With Mrs. Chafin's representation, I was found not to be at fault or in contempt of court. She went above and beyond, and I am forever grateful for her and her staff. I highly recommend her!

Debra is a shark and she kills it in the courtroom. Her voice is soft spoken but if you listen to her words the are cutting and precise. She prepared for the worst but gave me the best. She is worth every penny. She handled a domestic violence case and divorce case for me. She gave me the tough advi...ce the type your big sister would give. I walked away with no alimony to be ex spouse which was what I wanted. We walked away with what we came in with. She really is the best. I would recommend her to anyone she is worth it.

I have hired Debra two separate times and both times she was extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable, and most of all compassionate of our situation. We first came to her in 2014, when other lawyers we spoke to said there was no way that we could get even shared custody, I ended up leaving co...urt with sole custody. We then hired her again in 2016 because of moving out of state and she was able to secure the move and our proposed parenting plan was accepted.
