Gail is committed to Wheeling West Virgina. He has served on numerous public service organizations. Amoung other activities he is an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and acted as a founding member of the Wheeling Heritage Port Sternwheel Foundation.
In 2013, Gail was elected by his peers to serve on the West Virginia State Bar Board of Governors, representing lawyers from Hancock, Brooke and Ohio Counties, West Virginia. Additionally, Gail has been rated as "distingushed" in areas of Insurance and Personal Injury Law by his peers on the peer review rating service, .
His Children have attended St. Michael's Parish School, Wheeling Central Catholic (where his wife Ann serves as a teacher), West Virginia University and the University of Pennsylvania.
