Apryll H. Boggs

Unfortunately, based on our experience, the main two words that come to mind about the Apryll H. Boggs Law Firm is "incompetent" and "unprofessional" in the area of natural resource matters. Ms. Boggs worked for us for 4 months to review and revise a gas lease, from July 24, 2015 to November 25, 2...015. She did not give us any lease review nor any revisions even though we paid her fee up front. She did not communicate with us well, leaving us in the dark as to the status of our lease most of the time. The land man for the company trying to lease our property indicated that she was very difficult to work with and she left him in the dark along with us. She apparently did not attempt to negotiate with this company at all. If she did communicate with them in any way she did not keep us informed of any dialog, and failed to present any offers or counter offers to us. Ms. Boggs completely failed to perform her part of her own engagement agreement with us that she signed. In the agreement she stated, "I shall report regularly on the status of your matters..." which is ironic given the absence of her reports during the last 3 months of our 4 month relationship. Ms. Boggs did not answer any of our questions or concerns and allowed me to email her over and over without even acknowledging she read them. All I expected was some guidance as to the best wording to protect our interests in the lease. Had we only gotten some form of revisions from her to present to the gas company, this review would be completely different. Her silent treatment toward us led me to formally terminate her representation of us on November 25th, 2015 and request a refund of the retainer fee. She ignored that email and even ignored a certified letter with return receipt requested, which recently returned to me unclaimed. She is not responding to our requests for a refund or for a copy of any file she may have kept on our matter. Given this "poor" rating we can not recommend Apryll H. Boggs for anything dealing with natural resources. I hope this review will help others not make the same mistake that we made by hiring Ms. Boggs to help them with an oil or gas lease. Thank you.
