Lack of care overshadowed the legal victory
I hired Bottner & Associates to help with a post-divorce court order modification and a child support dispute initiated by my ex-wife. While I’m thankful I ultimately retained my authority in matters of legal custody of my children—which was the most important outcome—my experience with the firm left...

One of the best I’ve hired
He is super professional. Very calm and collected at court. Resolved my case way faster and with a way better resolution than I had thought possible. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking legal aid.

Responsive and thorough
Mr. Bottner and his Associates were very responsive and professional in getting a successful dismissal of the charges. These charges would have seriously effected my job and family had I been found guilty. They worked diligently and I highly recommend their services.

Great Job! Works hard to satisfy his clients
Kirk made sure to go over every detail and ensure I was compensated completely and correctly. The staff is very informative and responsive. Great Legal Firm to work with. I will return in the future should it warrant Kirk's service!

Excellent!!!
Kirk Bottner's been my Lawyer for over 13 years and has always served me well!
"I have worked with Mr. Bottner on two matters that spanned issues between West Virginia and Virginia in criminal defense and divorce cases. He's honest, and a zealous advocate. I very strongly recommend that if you have a litigation matter in Jefferson County or neighboring WV jurisdictions, you contact Mr. Bottner for potential representation."
"Kirk is one of the finest criminal defense attorneys I have ever met. He thinks fast on his feet and is a bull dog at trial. In my opinion, Kirk is one of the finest trial lawyers in West Virginia. Kirk is equally adept in his handling of bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, and general civil litigation."

When the attorney returns to practice he or she will be on probation, meaning the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Reprimanded issued in WV, 2011
updated on 01/07/2014This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
