In the often contentious field of family law, I've adopted a very holistic approach to the process of divorce. Because a family is still a family after divorce, I work with my clients for a win-win solution as the best way a family can navigate the process and maintain the positive relationships necessary for effective parenting. I've recently published the second edition of Graceful Divorce Solutions - A Comprehensive and Proactive Guide to Saving Your Time, Money and Your Sanity.
I've had extensive training in mediation, negotiation and collaborative practice and this helps me help my clients -- even when the divorce is litigated. If you're interested in an uncontested divorce, I can sometimes help you for a fixed fee.
I also have extensive trial experience in Lynburg area courts both as a domestic violence prosecutor and as a private practice lawyer.
I attended law school after my own divorce and with two young children at home, so I know how difficult it can be to balance parenting with other work-life demands after divorce.
