Benjamin Lee Cline

A graduate of the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, Ben Cline understands the importance of strong advocacy for his clients and a commitment to excellence in the courtroom. Ben Cine has also taught business law as an adjunct professor at James Madison University.

Most recently, Ben Cline served as a prosecutor in the courts of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. He left that post after more than five years of service to establish his own firm. Ben Cline prosecuted thousands of cases, ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanor traffic offenses. He has prosecuted cases in Virginia's Court of Appeals, Circuit Courts, General District Courts, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts.

In addition to serving his community in the courtroom, Ben Cline has served the Commonwealth for over a decade as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. He is the former Chairman of the Subcommittee on Judicial Selections and serves on the Courts of Justice Committee. Ben Cline also works on the Committee on Militia, Police, and Public Safety, where he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Public Safety, as well as the House Finance and Commerce Committees.

Prior to his election to the House in 2002, Ben Cline served as a legislative aide and Chief of Staff to Congressman Bob Goodlatte, assisting constituents throughout western Virginia with questions and concerns related to newly-enacted laws and pending legislation on a variety of topics, including commercial and tax laws, intellectual property laws, telecommunications laws, and bankruptcy laws.
