Biography
At McGraw Law, P.C. we compassionately help real families solve very real problems. We understand that to most people family is the single most important thing, and the most important relationships in their lives. We also understand, and take the approach to our practice, that despite the parties' inability to get along, and the reality that in some instances members of the family will be ultimately better served in no longer remaining together under the same roof, the family nevertheless does not have to be destroyed.
We always remember that regardless of how many clients we represent, the individual client's family is the only one they have. Therefore, their case is always the most important, and we try hard to never lose sight of this reality. In all domestic and family law cases we protect and uphold our client's rights to the maximum extent allowable under the law, in order to obtain for them every single benefit and privilege to which they are entitled. At the same time we work hard to foster and encourage a loving, healthy and nurturing family relationship as much as possible for all involved.
My mission is to provide effective legal representation to all clients at all times; to obtain for them all rights and privileges to which they are entitled under the law to the maximum extent possible; to always maintain open and clear communication with the client on all issues pertaining to their case; and to always provide prompt, competent, and compassionate legal services.
We offer a 30 minute, initial, free, no-obligation consultation. Our standard hourly fee (for attorney time only; no support staff services are billed at all to the client in our firm), for cases in which we charge an hourly fee, is $250 per hour. However, many cases lend themselves to a flat fee, or other alternative fee arrangement. The actual fee to be charged of course will depend upon the specific facts and circumstances of each individual case, and therefore will need to be discussed personally and individually with each client.

Patrick didn't return calls most of the time, didn't respond to emails most of the time. He did not provide documents when requested, didn't provided any type of billing statement though it was requested multiple times. Did not inform or provide legal documents in his possession. Replied last March 23, 2022I regret this client's dissatisfaction. The factual allegations made in this review are simply false, and extensive paper trails and documentation of everything prove them false. Unfortunately this review is from one of those people who just wants to get "something for nothing," because they feel entitled above other people, either based on their own profession that they think makes them better than and above "other people," or based on a perception of their own station in life as they see it; and then when they are confronted with the actual truth and reality of their own situation, well, then, "it must be the lawyer's fault." (It does strike me as very interesting that someone who apparently feels so compelled to leave such a negative, yet false review is unwilling to identify themselves in doing so. Just something to consider in evaluating this person's lack of credibility.). The allegation of failing to communicate is provably false by literally hundreds of emails and phone calls documented over a year and a half. The allegation regarding failure to give a billing statement is provably false, again by the documents themselves. The problem is that when after a year and a half of hard work with success on the client's behalf this client realized that additional payment would become necessary, their solution is to make false allegations against the lawyer rather than do the responsible thing for their own case. The allegation of failing to provide documents is false, and again is easily verifiable as false based on the very significant and well-documented and established paper trail of the case. We very proudly and un-apologetically stand by all of the very good and successful work we did on behalf of this client for more than a year and a half.

When you meet Mr McGraw, you are so impressed because he say's exactly what you want to hear and you feel so positive and then he tells you that he requires a $3,000.00 retainer fee and states that whatever he does not use will be returned to you. Replied last August 24, 2015I regret this client's dissatisfaction. It resulted from the client refusing to accept our legal advice and long-proven repeatedly successful strategy as how to best handle this particular situation, including but not limited to the client's challenge of paternity to begin with. There was no motion that required response, and the "DNA results" (which again was against our advice and strategy to begin with) were returned while I was on vacation, of which the client was fully apprised ahead of time, so there was nothing that could have been done, even had I not been on vacation. We proudly stand-by our trial and time tested and proven legal advice and strategies devised for and given to this client, despite the frustration of the client. This client's complaint regarding fees and finances is false, and has been proven to be so by the relevant authorities.

No other alternative than submitting this review
Very dissatisfied due to not following through with submitting paperwork and has caused my divorce to still not be completed. Does not return phone calls and requests for contact. I expedited my paperwork and found out the first filing sat on Mr. Mcgraw's desk for 6 weeks after being told repeatedly ...

The client did not understand some of the legal requirements that resulted in the paperwork needing to be changed, and therefore delayed. There was no neglect of the matter. And we proudly stand by the ultimate result obtained in the case.

Take Heed and steer clear of this attorney, If your hard earned dollar holds any value at all!
I also had Mr McGraw for child custody yes he does put on a wonderful sale pitch that you buy into, however when he offers 5000.00 flat fee no matter how many times he has to represent you in court how many 3rd party calls he has to make, so when time to file a show cause he charged an additional 150...

Replied last August 10, 2015I regret this client's frustration, but it comes from our having obtained a very favorable outcome for the client in our initial representation; unfortunately other matters later developed after the original case had been entirely concluded and resolved and closed, which the client had a hard time understanding constituted new cases, requiring new work, and yes, new fees for the additional work. We proudly stand by the initial favorable outcome obtained for this client.
