About Jonathan
Biography
Jonathan is a lifelong resident of Lexington & Rockbridge County. After finishing his law degree at Washington & Lee University he worked as a Contract Negotiations Specialist and a Financial Planner for a Fortune 500 company before starting Tarris Law in 2016.
Since starting Tarris Law, Jonathan has defended hundreds of clients in courts across Virginia including as an associate Public Defender, formed dozens of successful businesses, and attained favorable judgements in over 80% of his civil matters.
In his spare time Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors, working his family farm, coaching youth basketball and volunteering on a variety of community boards and commissions.

Reckless Driving

Great result, straightforward
Mr. Tarris was able to substantially reduce my charge- which given how VA categorizes reckless driving as a misdemeanor is a big deal. He was able to do this with minimal engagement, quick response times on our communication, and for a very reasonable fee. Highly recommended!

Thanks Mr. Tarris
Mr. Tarris was able to get my Reckless Driving charge for 87mph reduced to a normal speeding ticket for only a $200 fine, no driver improvement, no community service, and no suspension. Very easy to work with and kept me inform with updates.
