Denis Charles Englisby

Unorganized! Missed court twice. Then called shocked and asked did I know about it. Lost files which he still hasn’t found, failed to communicate with myself and other attorney and was completely unprepared with facts of case, didn’t send interrogatories or give other attorney the evidence we planned... to use so it couldn’t be used in court. Made false promises about outcome and vacation dates, didn’t return calls, didn’t even read other attorney’s evidence so had no idea what questions to ask or when false documents were presented or when false accusations were made. Please trust me and look elsewhere. I honestly think dimentia has set in because he forgot the few things he actually let me get in when we did communicate. Arrogant and makes up charges for things he never presented. I thought lawyers were supposed to intimidate the other party, not their own clients! I’m trying to give you honest advice because my case is over so I hope this saves someone else from the heartbreak and disappointment his representation or lack thereof caused me.

Hired Denis for my divorce & custody case and he didn't do much of anything. We went to court he allowed my ex to sit on the stand and make me look terrible, attitude and arrogant anytime I met with or spoke with him. He drafted our divorce decree and that was about it, took about 2 years which resul...ted in my ex and I working together to finally come up with what we wanted. Still don't have anything legally in paper regarding custody. When I told him the agreement that my ex and I came up with for custody 50/50, he said just to write it down and both of us sign it (my ex and myself), never did anything through the courts for it, and that was the last we dealt with each other.

I have read some of these reviews and I must say that it's alright to be bitter,if thing's don't turn out in court the wAY you plan.But to blame your Lawyer who you hired is in my opinion this is pushing the Limit's.now let me post a review on the Denis Englisby I know.I have known Denis sense 1975....he was a smart young Lawyer who came highly recommended.my best friend was facing a long prison term for robbery and murder I was convince that he was innocent and the jury thought so to, thank's to some Brillant representation from Mr Englisby.In 1978 my Brother was accused of rape and I believed him to be innocent so I called on Denis and once again Mr Englisby came through for me.in 2005 I called on Denis and introduced him to a coworker of mine who was going through a bad custody case and Denis got him full custody of his son.And recently in 2012, I called on Denis to represent a good friend of mine son.He was 19 years old and caught with 3 ounces of weed and a pistol and he was a convicted felon.anybody that know law know's that this is a sure ride to the penitentiary for a long time.But once again Denis came through and my friend's son only got 3 years.so I want all to know that Denis Englisby is not perfect but he does work hard and he get results.and as you can see by my review I know what I'm talking about through first hand knowledge.
