A perserving and professional attorney who always takes the high road. Well prepared and knowledgeable. Truthful and honorable.

Mr. Walter represented me in an our almost-9 year extremely high conflict custody struggle. Over all those years on the same case, with appearances in the JDR and Circuit Court that numbered more times than I can count, he prevailed every time but once. And he was able to legally turn that one legal... disappointment around in less than 125 days. Eventually, he would write my legal briefs for the Appellate Court of Virginia, and yet again, prevail. Ultimately, he would prepare and, then, help mediate the Consent Order that retained my sole custody and permitted me to leave the state with my child. Through out his years of representation, Mr. Walter gave sound, supportive, and helpful advice. Seeing his face prior to entering the court always gave me a sense of calm and confidence. He read my numerous emails and responded with consistent guidance as necessary. In family law, where emotions run high, he consistently held the high road and represented the best part of family law --- to an excellent outcome. As well, he made himself available during emergency situations. In those times, he acted promptly and aggressively -- even making himself available on some weekends. He's well known and respected in legal circles in our community. In the court room, he created a legally aggressive but collegial environment that focused strictly on my case and the law. Mr. Walter has my utmost respect and gratitude, and I cannot imagine having gone through these past 9 years with any other attorney.
