She's not worth your time

She's unprofessional doesn't return calls or emails and doesn't complete the paperwork that's needed for your case

She knows her stuff and will fight for you.

I wanted a lawyer that would represent me fairly in my divorce. It was a bad situation and I really did not want to have to deal with my then husband to negotiate anything. I referred him to her with any questions. Whatever conversations took place made my life so much more peaceful!!! Coparenting... turned out to be much better after he talked to her. There were delays due to Covid and sometimes I didn't get an immediate call back but she was always on top of it when we went to court. I am SOOO grateful for her and would recommend her 1000 times over.

Very disappointed with Ms. Tiffany Sullivan

I had retained Tiffany Sullivan and October 2023 we had our first appointment November 2nd 2023 Miss Sullivan had stated to me that my spouse had been served on October 3rd 2023 the divorce complaint . She stated to me that due to the holidays coming up it would be hard to get a judge to sit in on th...e mediation so we will press forward come January 2024 I then reached out to her to let her know that I was having surgery January 9th of 2024 if we could do something after that. I emailed her several times after January 10th to see if she had or was able to get a judge to sit in on the mediation and she was not responding by February 22nd 2024 she emailed me stating that we needed to schedule an appointment so she scheduled it for Monday February 26th at 4:00 p.m. I responded back via email that that worked good and I was looking forward to talking with her well on the 26th she did not call me at 4:00 so I was reaching out to her which I did not want to miss my appointment but I didn't know if she was going to be calling me or I was calling her because when I responded back to her on the 22nd of February I had asked do I call you or you call me she never responded so come the 26th of February she asked me if this was me that keeps calling her that she is in court well to me if you knew you had a 4:00 appointment why didn't you reach out to me via email or text to let me know that you were in court so after a couple of emails back and forth she said she's going to have to release me now I'm thinking release me because I'm calling and she says yes ma'am I can release you and I was asking her to explain and then later she stated she just realized that she doesn't have the time or the attention to give to my case so March 25th 2024 she emails me the release paper for me to sign in order to get what was left from my retainer I signed screenshot and email the forms back to her as well as I put a set in the mail as she requested which she received on the 27th of March well now I'm trying to get another attorney and I'm finding out that I can't talk to another attorney until the judge releases her from me so I emailed again around the 11th of April to ask her about the release form she emails me back asking did I check with the courts so when I checked with the courts on the 12th of April the clerk said that they just received the release on the 11th of April and that it was upstairs on the judge's desk I have finally received the release papers with the judge's signature my thing is I felt from the beginning that Miss Tiffany Sullivan was on point a good attorney with bedside manners but for the month of January, February very unprofessional lack of communication. And I do understand when you have more than you can handle you stop before you go too far but I feel that she could have let me know at our first meeting November 2nd 2023 that she didn't have the time or the attention to give to my case after just opening her own practice the end of July 2023. I wish her well and it's a lesson I've learned as far as putting my trust with someone that I had not even met in person.

Show cause summons

Tiffany Sullivan was court appointed to represent me . For summons for a show cause civil case . Compared to many reviews I read on her website that were very specific about her ability and her dedication was TOTALLY OPPOSITE FROM WHAT I ENDURED.... rather she was coerce from the judge or not , she i...gnored and did not apply her legal standard of duty to represent my legal rights by law . She did not argue I was being charged for a crime I did not commit. Disobeying a prior court ruling or order . To pay mother directly haft of childcare was written on a temporary order. Not the final order in place . Nor did she argue the fact I didn’t intentionally or unwilling not pay (if it was a prior court order) being evidence I was approved for court appointed attorney by same judge as being indigent .now being found guilty of disobeying support court order by same judge that appointed Sullivan to represent me . Nor did Sullivan argue the facts that my home was in foreclosure, I was receiving government assistance for food and electricity. I was laid off work, receiving unemployment pay .that was being garish ,obeying court order / that dcse testified to ,that petition was falsely sworn to for a show cause petition . DCSE testified That I wasn’t behind on support as show cause petition again falsely stated and sworn to . Stating also Owing 1,200$ To pay directly to mother for haft of childcare/ that was written on temporary court order and childcare cost split between parents and added on The state of Virginia support guideline sheet (on final order . ) I was Found guilty for intentionally and unwilling to obey a court order . Judgement Ordered to pay mother directly 1,200$ for haft of childcare by certain date or capias warrant for my arrest to be picked up and incarcerated for 90 days . Next day clerks office stating my case can not be appealed because not signed off being a final order of judge being pending disposition. I called Sullivan’s office and explained to her secretary trying to appeal,no return call , then repeated call and same secretary leaving same but more desperate message .... no return call .., made third and final same call , talk to same secretary, begging for same thing, needing help appealing case that clerks office denied due to not being a final order signed off by judge . 3 RD CALL GONE UNRETURNED. now past 10 day appeal rule .... not able to pay mother directly before due date . Capias warrant served for my arrest and I was incarcerated for full 90 days . Sullivan obviously Failed to apply same representation to myself, as all her reviews stated she applied to her other clients .

It can be difficult to understand that inability to pay is not a defense to contempt of a courts order. I never want to see my clients incarcerated and always advocate on their behalf.

Out of state custody

I'll start by saying Ms. Sullivan is amazing and I could not recommend her enough. I hired Ms. Sullivan after some communication issues with my first lawyer during my custody case. I live out of state and was filing for custody of my son. Ms Sullivan and her office never once left me in the d...ark. They always got back to me in a day or two. They made an extremely stressful time much easier, just by listening to my problems and getting back to me quickly. Also, our custody case was not a simple matter. Ms. Sullivan stepped in and got things settled quickly and efficiently all while keeping me in the loop. I can not recommend Ms. Sullivan enough. Her and her office are amazing and responsive. If communication is important to you, you can't go wrong here.
