This lawyer was paid to do a job that she grossly neglected. She was very consistent in not responding to phone calls or emails. She missed deadlines and lied repeatedly about the status of my case.She conspired with the courts to sabotage her own clients case.Time and time again she made several st...atements that were deemed false. The good news is I filed an ethics complaint against her which she was reprimanded for it. I went a step further by winning my arbitration case against her.She was ordered to provide a complete refund for services that she never rendered. As an attorney she showed poor character from beginning to the end and I was glad her peers were able to be sympathetic towards me.This awful attorney kept regurgitating theb same lies and hoping some would stick. She cannot be trusted with any critical information or keep confidentiality .Avoid this law firm by all means as she is nothing but a fly by night attorney that lack any real legal experience..There is nothinf genuine about her at all,her passive nature around real attorneys will leave you dumbfounded.The good reviews must be from her friends and known associates not real clients.Her laziness as an attorney is one of the worst I have ever encountered, her pandering to the court as an attorney is truly disgusting. I could write an entire book about her shady character as an attorney. She took it a step further by trying to lecture me about expectations while ahe ignored the expectation set by her clients.She ignores her client wishes on several occasion, she was rude, arrogant, lazy, couldn't keep an appointment. Hopefully this is not the new breed of minority attorneys in the Virginia area because the older ones went above and beyond to get the job done.Kindly run away from this delusional lawyer and consult with real clients before you regret retaining this quack of an attorney. She will take your money and actively use the justice system against you She dared me to file a complaint against her and I took her on her offer. That's how arrogant she was after months of refusing to refund my hard earned money. She is also skilled at playing the race card and the black woman victimized once you ask for a refund.

Do not use her. I have been patient and today was the breaking point. My son adoption was suppose to be an easy process and it was far from it. First problem she wouldn’t respond when I asked for updates so I took it upon myself to take off work and go check why it was taking so long. Got to the cou...rts to find out they sent her a correction letter and she never responded. So I looked at the paper work submitted and the dates were wrong and names. Now we filled all paper work and she had all the correct documents (birth certificates marriage certificates etc) so all they really had to do was copy and paste and couldn’t do that right. So I emailed her letting her now what was wrong and how it needed to be correct. Fast forward I look at the final adoption paperwork and dates are still wrong. Reached out to her and advised the final signed adoption paperwork needed to be corrected and advised that we still didn’t have my son birth certificate. She claimed she would get it fixed here we are almost 2 months later and I’m having to do leg work again because vital records sent her a letter 6 months ago advising they need the actual adoption with the raised seal but she never sent it so now I have to drive to Richmond to provide with information and go to the courts to get a update on the correction. Oh and it’s a good thing I called cause she provided vital with the wrong name. Please take this a sign do not retain her if I could give no stars and just a negative review I most definitely do. I want all my money back. And let me state this before she tries to discredit me I know the courts are a peace of work and back logged but they were sending her correction letter with no reply I would give her days -weeks to respond before I had to follow up with another email or phone call and vital records sent a letter to her back October of 2022 and here we are April 27,2023 and I had to drive almost two hours to provide them with the documentation needed so I wouldn’t keep waiting for my son birth certificate. And before yesterday I contacted her April 17,2023 for updates on the the corrected adoption paperwork and birth certificate. And before then the last time I heard from her was March 2,2023

I hired Ms Tillman because I have a Divorce Contempt case that I wanted to open to the courts. I contacted her in Feb 2022 for a consultation, and moved forward in June 2022. Provided my fees and she did the rest, so I thought. Weeks went by and then a month with the only update of "The paper work... has been filed", but my case was still closed. I asked for copies of what she presented to the courts and I still to this day have not received them. I talked with the clerk of court several times and nothing has been done on my case to reopen it. But she is still saying that she submited the paperwork. Then when I finally got her on the phone, after requesting to talk to her several times she tells me that the Lead Clerk of the Court was out and she could not get answers on my case. Hhhmmm that is such a misstatment. Anyone in the Court can pull up my case or process the paperwork if she submitted it. So I asked for my money back. That actual day she was in the Court that my case was previously heard, and low and behold the paperwork was submitted that day which was in August. I told her that I did not want her to do anything else on my case, that all this time it could have been either heard or I would have a court date. She also said that she petitioned the defendant, but how when the case is still closed. This was so messy and unprofessional. Now I am still as of today have not received any paperwork from her on what she provided the courts and I requested this before I fired her as my Attorney. Then once I talked to the Clerk of the Court concerning my case again, that she finally submitted the paperwork on the 3rd of August, remind you it was dated June 29th so she prepared the document, but never sent to the courts. But the clerk told me she was the one that accepted the paperwork and the paperwork that she used is not used in my type of case anymore, and that it did not have enough information for the Judge to her my case. That more than likely it would have gotten denied. So long story short, if I would have read the reviews versus just listening to her, I would not have selected her. I have learned my lesson and will do the required research needed. Now here it is September 2022 and my case is still lingering due to her negligence, because I have to start all over and hopefully get a date before the year is up. Be honest with your clients, provide copies that they are legally due, and follow up with the courts if you say you submitted something cause if I submitted something and I have not heard from the courts in almost 2 months I would think something is wrong.

We had a few weeks to bet papers done for our Grandchildren in Newport News, VA after their mother unexpectedly passed January 9, 2022. Ms. Tillman responded to a call I left her after hours and she promptly called and started the process the next day! We are very pleased with how quickly and effic...iently she handled our business. Very professional and easy to talk with.
