Before entering private practice, Ashley served as a Volunteer Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York, handling civil matters in state and federal court. Her commitment to public service has also included providing pro bono estate planning assistance to terminally ill cancer patients.
Ashley earned her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, now Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she received Dean’s List recognition and Certificates of Merit. She is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, New York, and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
In addition to representing clients, Ashley is active in the legal community. She presents continuing legal education programs on topics related to personal injury litigation, evidence, and trial practice. She has also participated in legal and civic education programs and enjoys opportunities to mentor young professionals.
Ashley currently serves as Secretary of the Virginia State Bar’s First District Committee.
