He practically forced himself onto our high profile case, boasting his "expertise" in the area of our case. We never saw any evidence of that so called expertise! His staff investigator is worthless. We ended up paying an investigative firm thousands to find basic things and make basic contact. H...e doesn't return phone calls, text messages, or emails. He had 18 months to prepare our case, during which time he charged us for things I still don't understand why we "needed". ($1,500 for photos the Commonwealth already had, etc.) We were told again and again that expert testimony would be key to winning our case. In the middle of the trial, I asked him about ballistics testimony, and he told me exactly how the man would testify. Then he never called the guy to the stand! In fact, there was never a ballistics expert present at the trial! When I questioned him about this later, he said he felt the jury would be overwhelmed. Speaking of the jury, he spoke for such a lengthy time in closing, the jurors got tired of hearing from him. They were making faces and body language telling him to end it. There were two who put their notepads/pens down and folded their arms. Besides ballistics, there were 2 key witnesses he never called, including the only eye witness! The 911 tape was never played, and he spent zero time preparing witnesses. His work resulted in a wrongful conviction and wrongful incarceration. If I could give him less than 1 star, I would. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody who isn't pleading guilty. Don't let this guy talk you into hiring him. There was a time decades ago when his work was worth it. That time is long gone.

Mr Sacks was hired over the weekend while I was in jail with no bond given !By Monday the courts were notified that I had been represented and was set for bond hearings, mr sacks got me a speedy hearing that week and has been more then reasonable with working with financial areas as there are several... charges and cases involving my case. I can’t speak for everyone’s situation but I can say it’s a business and he wants to be paid yes, however I don’t see or feel at all that his representation is any less based on payment. I’ve even sprung new non related issues to Mr sacks and he gladly accepted the challenge .. He speaks very little and that can be nerve wracking when your freedom is on the line but he works and so does his office staff very hard for the best possible outcomes. I realized that answering calls is quite hard when you’re in court fighting for ppls lives so when I’m in need of anything urgent or just need answers I call his office and everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my concerns,when they can’t answer a question they do not hesitate to contact mr sacks directly I would recommend him and continue using him for any matters big or small .

At first Mr. Sacks act like he was going to do any and everything to help us we our case but once he received our money he stop answering our phone calls and was not helpful at all. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE HIM TO BE YOUR LAWYER HE JUST WANTS YOURS MONEY. He takes on to much and always acts like h...e is to busy to help with your case. I regret hiring him to be my lawyer

In a November Supreme Court ruling , they found Mr. Sacks as "ineffective Counsel", in 3 areas of my case. We hired him in 2009. He started off efficient, ended up DEFICIENT. It was a nightmare. He was quite sidetracked with other matters. Had too many cases. Doesn't win that much anymore. All abo...ut plea deals. Withheld expert information from me and my paying Mom. Information that we paid for. He will never go after the Cops Investigations or Prosecution to establish reasonable doubt. He is so much more. I will not repeat. Please don't Be swayed by his long past successes. He cost me 7 years of my life. He is my far, the biggest mistake I ever made , hiring him. Won't return calls, cares about his money more than his clients. Stay Away. You have been warned.
