Would not recommend

I met with Mr. Sherman for a confidential consultation; the attorney-client privilege is deemed fundamental to the proper functioning of our system of justice. I also inquired verbally if the consultation was held in confidence, after giving Mr. Sherman money, he assured me that my consultation was c...onfidential. A few months after my consultation, Mr. Sherman then decided that what I told him in the confidential consultation was no longer confidential and wrote a letter to my employer discussing the consultation. A matter my employer was already aware of but in any case, not an ethical practice for an attorney to disclose client information. Not only did Mr. Sherman write a letter to my employer, Mr. Sherman further called a firm our company deals with and also told them. This firm contacted my employer and told him that they were contacted by Mr. Sherman and what the subject of his conversation. Mr. Sherman forgot the most simple and primary rules for attorneys: RULE 1.6 A lawyer shall not reveal information protected by the attorney-client privilege under applicable law or other information gained in the professional relationship that the client has requested be held inviolate or the disclosure of which would be embarrassing or would be likely to be detrimental to the client unless the client consents after consultation, except for disclosures that are impliedly authorized in order to carry out the representation, and except as stated in paragraphs (b) and (c).

Thank You Joe

For those of you looking for an eminent domain lawyer, first I want to extend my sympathy. You are facing a long uphill battle. It is a battle that will affect you mentally, emotionally and physically. But most of all, you will feel alone in the fight. It wasn’t until we met Joe Sherman that w...e felt like we had someone in our corner. Mr. Sherman took the time to explain our options and helped us understand the process of “TAKING” of property. He understood our fight was not about “Just Compensation” but about the desire to protect our land and the dreams we had for it. He took the time to talk with us and supported us in our decisions. Mr. Sherman advised with truth and honesty during every step of the process. His knowledge, dedication and integrity were greatly appreciated.
