Lori Ann Michaud

Lori graduated from Fauquier High School in Warrenton, Virginia before striking out on her own at the age of sixteen.  She was  awarded a B.A. from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, NJ, where she was a New Jersey Bell Scholar at Rutgers College and a Phillip J. Levin Scholar at Rutgers Law School, based upon her academic ability and potential capacity for public service through law.

During and immediately after law school, Lori became familiar with the inner workings of the courts.  She was first a judicial legal intern to the Honorable Maryanne Trump Barry, Judge, United States District Court.  Then, she became the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Murry D. Brochin, Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey.

Lori began practicing law in 1988 as an associate at the firm of Greenberg, Dauber & Epstein in Newark, New Jersey, where she worked on complex commercial litigation matters, primarily in the federal courts.  She joined Pitney, Hardin, Kipp & Szuch (now Day, Pitney) in Florham Park, New Jersey as an associate attorney in late 1989.  During these early years of practice, Lori developed and honed her litigation skills working on a variety of complex civil, criminal, and commercial matters.  Lori opened her own practice after the birth of her son in 1996, specializing in criminal defense, family law, divorce, child custody and support issues.  She started The Law Office of Lori A. Michaud, P.C. on the premise that family is important and she keeps this importance in mind with each and every client she represents.  

After relocating to Virginia Beach, VA in 2004 to be closer to her own family, Lori continues to offer real answers to real questions that are as unique as the people that ask them.  She takes pride that she isn’t just an attorney -- she is a counselor at law -- helping clients to take appropriate steps to succeed in their matters and to the manage the impact of their matters on their lives.  She provides the personal and individual attention each and every client deserves!

In her spare time, Lori enjoys cooking, skiing, biking, swimming, traveling, photography and relaxing with her family, friends and her golden retriever mix.
