Mr. McCormack's succesful representation of a Navy Seal accused of detainee abuse in Iraq was the subject of a book wrtiten by Patrick Robinson -"Honor and Betrayal." Mr. McCormack's representation of one of the "Norfolk Four" was key to the successful efforts to secure full pardons for his client who was acquitted of murder, but convicted of rape, as well as the other three individuals who were wrongfully convicted based upon false confessions on charges of capital murder and rape - his aggressive representaion of his client was featured in the book "The WRONG GUYS" written by Richard Leo and Tom Wells. Mr. McCormack has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as a 2017 Distinguished Attorney, having a very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. In addition, Mr. McCormack has also been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as a distinguished member of the Top 10% of America's Most Honored Professionals.

The judge imposed a 5 year sentence, our client's confinement was limited to 15 months under the terms of the plea agreement we negotiated. The remaining 22 specifications were DISMISSED.
We secured a release from the active duty obligation.
The board voted 3-0 for no misconduct.
Not Guilty to the rape and false official statement charges. Our client was convicted of a lesser included offense of simple assault and battery, he was sentenced to NJP equivalent punishment.
