If you're on a medical board, you need him on your side!

John Gately is the real deal. My husband was put up for a medical board to be discharged from the military. Immediately, we knew we had to get a lawyer and we knew that a military JAG lawyer wouldn’t be as aggressive as a private attorney would be to win the case. We spoke to many different law firms... and they all told us the same thing: “Unless he plans on fighting to stay in the military, we cannot help you. There’s no way he can be medically retired.” Even his chain of command and his doctors told us that getting a lawyer would be a waste of time. They told us we would get the bare minimum from the military and if we fought the decision, we would loose and get nothing. Then we found Mr. Gately. He spoke with us at length about my husband’s case, his knowledge and experience in military medical board cases and with his own military background. He took my husband’s case right away. Throughout the process, he was with us every step of the way; he was always friendly, caring and sympathetic. Even with his other cases and living on the other side of the country, he always got paperwork needed for my husband’s medical board to us on time and it was always impeccable. My husband’s medical boarding findings came back with a permanent disability retirement rating. We didn’t even have to take the case to a formal board to fight for that rating. I believe that this is because of all the hard work and effort that Mr. Gately put into our case. If we hadn’t have hired him, I’m afraid the results would have not come back in our favor. With so many people fighting AGAINST you during the military medical board process (including your own chain of command) it is good to have someone with experience, knowledge and the drive to get you what you DESERVE in your corner. John Gately is that person.
