Benjamin Colin Sweeney

I had a bad experience with a contractor. In short, I was overcharged for substandard work and the contractor refused to honor his so called warranty. I contacted Mr. Sweeney, who wrote an excellent detailed letter to the contractor stating the issues and all the legal repercussions the contractor w...ould face if he did not address my concerns. The contractor contacted Mr. Sweeney offering a ridiculously low to reimbursement in order to avoid litigation. When I refused and wanted to file a lawsuit, Mr. Sweeney calmly assured me that was not necessary just yet. He was certain he could come to a compromise with the contractor and he did. Within a couple of weeks, I received a much higher reimbursement. I found Mr. Sweeney extremely articulate, bright, and knowledgeable. He saved me, as well as the contractor, from what could have become a long, expensive legal battle in court. Due to Mr. Sweeney's relatively short resume at the time, I had my doubts. However, he proved to be an excellent negotiator. I'm quite certain many other attorneys would have be eager to take the matter to court. Mr. Sweeney engineered a win-win outcome for both parties. He was recommended to me and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need of legal assistance.

I filed a warrant in debt on my on behalf on 4/20/15 and the case was not found /unserved. In August 2015 I hire Jankell & Ireland to repersent me they assign B.Colin Sweeney to my case. He states to me that he can use my old warrant in Debt to reopen my case. He later calls me and states the judge d...enied the request and he needed 54 dollars to refile my case. I told him I was disabled and didn't get paid but once a month. So he asked me to go file the new paperwork my self with the clerk. Why would I have to research of file anything if I paid him to repersent me. I have provided Mr.Sweeney with all the documents that he needed to take this case to court. What can I do about this matter.
