Aaron Pomeranz is a long-time resident of Hampton Roads and attended Kempsville High School where he played catcher for the Chiefs. He attended William and Mary, continued to play baseball for the Tribe, and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Aaron decided to pursue a career in public service and became a police officer with the Norfolk Police Department, graduating the police academy in 1993. While in the police academy, Aaron started working toward his master’s degree in Public Administration at Old Dominion University, which he completed in 1997. Throughout his almost-25 years in law enforcement, Aaron moved through the ranks in various assignments to include: the Detective Division, Vice and Narcotics, K-9, SWAT, and Homeland Security. As he neared retirement, Aaron knew that it was time to work toward the next step in his career and started attending law school locally at Regent University. He graduated from law school in 2016 while graduating in the top 20% of his class. Aaron retired from the police force on July 1, 2017, having obtained the rank of Captain, and started practicing law on the same day.
Like many in the area, Aaron was brought to Hampton Roads as a child due to his father's service in the military. He grew up in Virginia Beach and then went to college at William and Mary. After graduating, he returned home and worked in law enforcement for almost twenty five years before starting to practice law. He finds his experience in law enforcement not only benefits his clients when he defends them for criminal offenses, but also benefits his representation of all clients who find themselves in other difficult situations
Following law school, Aaron worked for a Tidewater law firm in a variety of roles, from serving as a Guardian ad-litem on custody matters and as court appointed counsel for indigent defendants, and practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, DUI, reckless driving and other traffic cases.
Since he began practicing law, Aaron had numerous cases with the attorneys at Park Zeigler and saw firsthand the professional and knowledgeable manner in which they handled their cases and complicated legal matters. When offered the opportunity to join the firm, he couldn’t pass it up. Aaron looks forward to being able to provide his clients outstanding service at Parks Zeigler for many years to come.
Aaron, his wife, Sara, and their five children reside in Chesapeake, Virginia. Aaron and Sara’s children all participate in extracurricular activities, to include soccer, gymnastics, and crew. Aaron and his family enjoy trips to the Outer Banks several times a year where they get to spend time with extended family. Religion plays a big part in their life and they attend and serve at River Oak Church in Chesapeake. In the last few years, Aaron and Sara have opened their home and hearts to foster children from a local department of social services. When Aaron isn’t being a lawyer, husband, and father, he enjoys rooting for the New York Yankees, exercising, and doing construction projects around his house.

Excellent attorney!
I recently finished with very contentious custody battle with my ex. I was looking for an attorney who is not only proficient, but is not easily bullied in the courtroom. This was extremely important for my case and Aaron was highly recommended for this reason. He did not disappoint. There were many ...
"Aaron is a consummate professional with a straightforward and refreshing approach to litigation. While other attorneys will often bend over backwards to contest every point regardless of its value, Aaron fights only those battles that need to be fought to advocate for his client. If more attorneys used Aaron's approach, far more cases would reach trial on their merits without needless cost and delay. I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer for any client seeking competent representation without the usual expensive and unnecessary posturing."
"Aaron has an eye for Detail. Aaron has defended many in the Western Tidewater area. He has had great results. These results are based on his knowledge, experience and relationships he has in the local Courts. If you want great results Aaron is the local attorney in Chesapeake, Suffolk, Isle of Wight and all of Western Tidewater."
"I endorse this lawyer. Excellent demeanor. Fights for his clients. Passionate about getting results."
