Reckless Driving charge reduced to speeding

I cannot recommend Douglass McGee highly enough. He is an incredibly helpful, responsible, and knowledgeable attorney. Despite having a complicated situation with multiple violations back-to-back, Mr. McGee was able to reduce my reckless driving charge to a simple speeding ticket. He guided me eve...ry step of the way, giving clear instructions—from taking a defensive driving course to completing community service—and made sure I understood exactly what needed to be done to improve my case. Couldn’t be happier

Giving 5 stars is not enough. I received a ticket in smyth county VA for 107/70 and I had consulted with a few other attorneys telling me they either wouldn’t take the case because I’d lose or they’d say that I was absolutly gonna have to serve jail time over this matter and lose my license and I ha...ve to have my license to work. . As soon as I spoke to Doug he layed it all out. Worst case scenario and all. But he was very optimistic with a lot of community service and defensive driving classes and a few other things that we could get a very favorable outcome and man did we. Zero jail time and no suspended license. This man knows what he’s doing. Do not be discouraged by other council. At least give him a call for a consult but believe me, you’ll hire him. I hope this eases some minds out there as to when I got my ticket I was just beside myself as to the severity Virginia places on speeding tickets. It’s gonna cost you, sure but it’s a lesson learned.

Wonderful Experience

I received a Reckless Driving ticket for 95 mph in a 70 mph zone. I received all of the MASS mail-outs from a variety of attorneys but upon researching local attorneys, I came across Mr. McGee. THANKFULLY! I reside in a different state, making a court appearance less than convenient. Mr. McGee is an ...excellent communicator who knows the area, prosecutors, and judges and was able to take care of everything remotely. The steps he told me to take, from community service, online driving courses, references, etc. proved Invaluable! What could have cost me a criminal record, jail time, ongoing fees and consequences…….ended up costing me some time, attorney’s fee, and court costs with NO residual complications. I am SO Thankful to have reached out to him. He is Great to talk to and genuinely cares about your personal situation. I would Highly recommend this attorney and look forward to meeting him one day when I travel back through that area. NOT your typical Attorney-Client experience. This gentleman is Well WORTH the fee he charges!

Professional, knowledgeable, honest

I hired Doug after I was pulled over when driving through VA at a high speed of 96 mph. This was an isolated incident as I do not usually speed. The Trooper wrote me a summons to appear in court a month later. I was terrified as that drive one way would have been a 5 hour drive! The Trooper was kind ...and told me to call the number on the summons to see if I had any options since I lived so far away. Instead, I got on Google and that is when I found Doug! Doug recommended online driving courses to get things start and try to get my reckless driving charge down to a minor ticket. Long story short, he did an awesome job and did just that! I was charged with improper driving, $500 fine and $79 court fees. Did not lose my license, no community service, etc. He was very helpful throughout the process and told me exactly what I needed to do to try and get the best possible outcome from this situation. Doug is very experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. He helped calm my anxiety of the situation within the first minute of our very first phone consultation. If you find yourself in a similar situation Doug is the lawyer you want representing you without a doubt!!!
