Speeding thru Virginia

While driving through Virginia on the way back to NC from a dear friend’s funeral, l was ticketed for speeding in Washington County. Saving the day!

Mr. McGee was outstanding. I was driving home to South Carolina from Ohio after visiting my sick grandmother, and with a lot on my mind, I didn’t realize I was going 84 in a 70 — something I absolutely should have been more mindful of, especially in Virginia. This was the first traffic ticket I had e...ver received, so I decided to seek legal representation. After coming across Mr. McGee, I’m very grateful I chose to work with him. From the start, he was clear, direct, and walked me through exactly what to expect. I asked if there was any way to expedite the process, and he was able to have the court date moved up significantly, which helped bring the matter to a quick and smooth resolution. Thanks to his representation, my speeding ticket was reduced to a non-moving violation. I wasn’t required to attend any driving school or complete any courses, which was a huge relief. Humanized the event leading to an severe infraction.

I was charged with reckless driving at an excessive speed. What Doug was able to do was to show that this momentary event was not a reflection of my driving history but a result of circumstances converging into a dilemma that resulted in an unintentional result. He showed that my character indicated ...a different individual from the one who was cited, guilty yes, but reckless no. I appreciated the fact that he kept me in the loop and advised me on solid steps to take to aid the Judge to seeing the whole picture and not just the immediate event. As a result of his diplomacy I am wiser and feel the outcome was just. The charge was reduced and I am grateful for his counsel and guidance.
