I hired Doug after consulting several attorneys after being given a reckless driving summons in Mecklenburg County, VA for doing 85 in a 70mph zone. Doug took a half hour to speak with me over the phone that day, gave me a realistic outlook on my case, and most importantly gave me peace of mind over ...the following months while waiting for my court date. He is extremely down to earth, realistic, and I genuinely enjoyed talking with him. Not once did he ever try to scare me with the worst possible outcome as is common practice with some VA lawyers that make a living off these cases exclusively. Most importantly, he delivered on his word and got my case reduced to a non-criminal equipment malfunction. Would recommend him 110%.

Reckless driving ticket

I just recently was traveling to virgina for a vacation and got a speeding ticket doing 88mph in a 70mph. When I got home and called the police department in virgina to see how I could pay my ticket the officer told me I couldn't pay the ticket I had to show up in court and I said ok. The officer adv...ised me to get a lawyer because I was getting charged for reckless driving which was a class 1 misdemeanor in virgina and i was possiblygoing to do jail time. I was nervous when he told me that so I got online and typed in good lawyers for reckless driving. Doug was the first contact that pulled up and i contacted him immediately. When we talked Doug explained to me everything and the rules in virgina and told me what I needed to have ( go to driving school, dmv record, accident report and dynometer testing) for my court date if I decide to hire him.. i was so please by just talking to him I went ahead and hired him, I got everything he asked for except for the dynometer testing. He assured me that everything was ok and he should be able to take care of it with what I gave him. I ended up with a non moving violation/ defective equipment and only had to pay a fine and court cost he did a awesome job and he is a great attorney. Thank you doug and I recommend him 100%

100% recommend!!

I hired Doug Mcgee back in June of this year for a wreckless driving ticket i received in VA while being a resident out of state, I was extremely lucky to have came across his name as Mr. Mcgee was one of the most down to earth person I have ever met. I had explained I had a pending charge from anoth...er state and was very worried about my ticket becoming a misdemeanor so he had given me all of the realistic outcomes and possibilities along with the tools to atleast get the misdemeanor dropped being the main goal. Mr Mcgee would check in within the four months until the court date and very fast with responses to my questions and concerns. Within the time I got the ticket i had also received another speeding ticket out of state so the odds were against me. In court Me Mcgee came completely through for me and not only got the misdemeanor off the table but i only received the lowest moving violation in the VA state. Please do not second guess going with Doug you will not regret it & i couldnt thank him enough!

Doug McGee is THE MAN

I was driving home from Florida to N/Y. Stopped for doing 84 in a 70 zone. In Virginia that's considered RD. I contacted my N.Y. Lawyer who recommended Doug's law firm to handle my case. Doug called me and we reviewed my options. He was so spot on and professional. I received calls from him on Sunday...s, unheard of in my opinion. I sent him with all the documents he required for a court appearance. Rather than winding up in an Orange Jump Suit, I received a minimum fine, no points and could not have been happier. Place your trust in Doug McGee - you won't regret it!

As so many others have noted in reviews on this site, I received a reckless speeding ticket (84 in a 70) in Emporia, NC and was shocked to learn it was a misdemeanor. I am employed in a position that demands I hold a particular clearance level. This meant not only would the speeding ticket leave me w...ith "a record", but it threatened my current position and ability to procure future positions requiring the same level of clearance. I called Doug the day I received the ticket and he responded immediately - as he did throughout the process. Doug was very straightforward and clear with me from the first conversation explaining possible/probable outcomes and proactive measures I could take to mitigate the outcome of my case. I did exactly as he recommended. Doug was able to get the ticket DISMISSED! and on my on my court date. This was not done on appeal. I did not have to appear in court - Doug clearly presented my case in such a manner that this was not required. Doug is very professional - highly effective and super responsive ( responding to 2am an anxiety ridden text from me at 3am) who does that! I recommend Doug McGee to anyone who has found themselves in a similar situation. Cannot say it enough, THANK YOU Doug!!!
