Best Lawyer EVER

Honestly, I would give him a higher score if i could. As an out-of-state driver who happened to pass by Smyth County, VA, and was unlucky enough to receive a ticket, Doug was there for me from start to finish. Out of many Lawyers who consulted me, Doug was the only one who laid down the facts, explai...ned to me step by step to make sure I understood everything, as took the time to reassure me. He obviously can't promise any outcomes, but he provides well-detailed steps in mitigating the outcome. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, got my misdemeanor reduced to defective.

Just hire Doug, other lawyers use scare tactics

I received a reckless driving ticket in Virginia for speeding (>15 mph) on my way to vacation. Doug talked with me every step of the way and helped reassure me it would be okay (penalties include up to 12 months in prison!!!). I followed all of his instructions to the best of my ability and it ended ...up as a no point fine. He was awesome and I would I highly recommend him for the most aggressive speeding laws in the country (Virginia). Also I was out of state and didn’t not have to attend court in person.

The Best Choice I Could Have Made in a Stressful Time

When this whole situation first began, I was scared and overwhelmed. The uncertainty of not knowing what would happen weighed heavily, and one of the most stressful parts was figuring out how to choose the right lawyer. We wanted someone with strong recommendations, someone we could trust, but also s...omeone who understood the importance of working within our budget. That balance felt nearly impossible to find at first. In the end, the overall cost came to about $2,000, which included not only Doug’s fee, but also car reports, two required classes, and the extra expenses of gas from volunteering and traveling back and forth to court. For such a difficult and draining experience, knowing that we were able to afford quality representation without being crushed financially was a huge relief. Excellent experience

I hired Mr. McGee the day after I got a wreckless driving ticket. With having a cdl this would have been terrible. I was caught doing 83 in a 55. He was very helpful an clear of what I needed to do. He explained the bumps in the road we would have with my cdl. He got it knocked down to a regular tick...et. Which ended me with 6 point an I still have a cdl an hold my job. I highly recommend him.
