Reckless driving violation in Virginia

While traveling through Virginia to get to Tennessee, I received a reckless driving charge for driving 92mph in a 70mph zone. A thorough web search to find a good attorney in a place five hours from home suggested Douglas McGee got fantastic results with regard to my charge. He had great reviews and... after a consultation I knew he was the man for the job. My charge was in Smyth County and Doug knew all of the prosecutors, the police officers, everyone! I hired him and did everything he told me to do before my court date. He represented me in my absence and I was very pleased to learn he got my charge reduced to the lowest possible traffic ticket. I no longer have to worry about renewing my professional license or paying higher insurance rates because of Doug’s help. The important thing that people should know is tha if we want to get to our destination early we should leave the earliest.

Mr Douglas great job I am very pleased that Misdemeanor Reckless Driving (102 MPH in a 70 MPH Zone) in Smyth County was reduced to Improper Driving thereby avoiding a Class I Misdemeanor conviction, active and suspended jail, license suspension by the court, twice the Virginia points and signific...antly higher fines and court costs. I am further pleased that he were able to obtain this result on my behalf Thank you Mr Douglas You're the best I would definitely recommend you.

Doug is a Miracle Worker

While driving through Smyth County, Virginia, I was issued a Reckless Driving ticket alleging that I was driving 100 MPH on a highway with a 70 MPH speed limit. I was not only unaware that I was speeding (I was driving an unfamiliar car at night on an empty highway), but was shocked to learn that I ...was now facing a misdemeanor charge. Given that the speed was in the triple-digits, there was a serious prospect of not only a permanent criminal conviction but also jail time. I was absolutely devastated, scared, and didn’t know what to do. Faced with such a serious situation, I reached out to a number of attorneys and law firms that I found online. Among these was the Riley & Wells law firm, who referred me to Doug McGee. Doug was nothing short of a godsend. From my very first conversation with Doug, I knew that he was the lawyer that I wanted to hire. It was immediately clear that this was an attorney who was not only knowledgeable and highly experienced in his craft, but was also a generous and caring person. I found him to be able to deliver his legal advice honestly and directly but, at the same time, with warmth and compassion. Despite not having even been retained yet, Doug was more than generous with his time and expertise, spending hours on the phone with me and my husband to discuss how best to mitigate my situation. His advice and guidance at this early stage was crucial to the successful outcome of my case. Doug was more than thorough with his recommendations on what steps I needed to take in advance of my court date in the hopes of being able to convince the judge or prosecutor to consider reducing my charge to improper driving. I diligently followed his recommendations to the letter (including, but not limited to, doing >100 hours of pre-trial community service, completing defensive driving courses, and getting speedometer calibrations). As a result, Doug was able to get my Reckless Driving charge dismissed. After paying $89 in court costs, I am now able to move on with my life. I cannot recommend Doug McGee highly enough. I am absolutely convinced that my case would have had a very different outcome had I not had Doug as my attorney, especially with him being so generous with his time and guidance in the first few days after getting the ticket. He is a truly incredible attorney—a godsend and a miracle worker.

A lawyer that will work for you

My name is Beverly, I received 2 traffic violations while driving through Virginia on was a misdemeanor. I was facing a suspension of my license and jail time or a hefty fine, but I was recommended to lawyer Douglas McGee. Mr. Douglas was a very wonderful help for me. Since I lived in Georgia and thi...s case was in VA. I don’t know what I would have done without him, he walked me through every step of the way. He made sure all that was needed for my trial was ready and done in the right order, and I didn’t have to go to court, he did it all for me. He got one of my violation dropped and the other one dismissed. I couldn’t have asked for a more God sent lawyer. I will recommend him to anyone that needs a traffic lawyer.

Misdemeanor Reckless Driving (26mph over) Reduced to Nonmoving Ticket

I came to Doug after being charged with reckless driving for going 61 in a 35 (26 mph over) in a small town in rural VA. This was my second misdemeanor speeding/reckless driving charge, with the first occurring just over a year prior—I thought I was toast. Doug was incredibly helpful. He gave me real...istic steps to complete before court, was always available for questions, and guided me through every stage of the process. He was confident in the courtroom and thanks to his work, my charge was reduced to a non-moving violation with no points on my license. I cannot recommend Doug enough—10/10 lawyer and a genuinely great guy.
