103 in a 70.

I received a reckless driving ticket going 103 in a 70 in Marion Va. I hired Doug after speaking with him I knew that I needed to hire him. He gave me a list of variety of things todo, highlighting the four main topics that is crucial for court. I did what he asked for. He was able to bring that char...ge down to an improper driving charge. I was expecting jail but God had his hands on me today as I walked a free man. If your having trouble finding an attorney for your speeding then I would highly recommend Doug for all your needs!!

Reckless Driving Misdemeanor Virginia

My 18 year old son received a reckless driving charge while driving through Virginia on his way back to college. We live in N.Y. so it was surprising that Virginia designates this charge as a Class 1 Misdemeanor with the possibility of jail time and 6 points. I found Doug McGee online based upon seve...ral positive ratings. After calling Doug's office, he quickly called me back and spoke to me on the phone for about an hour. As an attorney myself, I've never experienced the amount of care and understanding that Doug provided on our initial call. I was quite concerned, but Doug set my mind at ease. During that initial call Doug laid out our plan detailing what was required to potentially reduce the charge. Following our call Doug memorialized what we discussed in a detailed e-mail setting forth all steps needed prior to the initial hearing. Steps included the completion of Virginia driving courses, community service, amongst other tasks. Following Doug's direction, my son completed most tasks as requested by Doug. On the day of the hearing, I received a call from Doug informing that the Misdemeanor was reduced to an equipment violation- meaning, no jail time, no additional community service and more importantly, no points! As I write this review, I'm still shocked at the outcome. I rarely write reviews unless I'm deeply moved by the service provided. I chose Doug due to the fact that he understands the Virginia court system and has great relationships with prosecutors and judges. Having handled so many of these matters, Doug understands the intricacies of the court system and what prosecutors and judges look for when considering a reduction. Doug was nothing short of amazing. I would recommend Doug to anyone who is in a similar situation and would give him 10 stars if I could. I couldn't be happier with the attentiveness, responsiveness and overall result. Prior to the hearing, I must have email or called Doug over a dozen times. After each and every email or call, Doug promptly responded with detailed answers to all of my questions. I can't say enough about my experience with Doug as our attorney. If you need an attorney for similar circumstances, look no further. This is you guy! Trust me when I say Doug will do everything he can to defend your case and provide you with a road map on how to succeed. Thank you Doug for being so personable, attentive and understanding. I couldn't ask for anything more and am so glad I made the decision to hire you for my son's case.

The Best Lawyer You Could Get

I received a move-over violation where there were multiple police cars and multiple people outside their vehicles. Douglas ended up getting this very serious charge (one that faces up to a year in jail) to be under advisement for a year to be dismissed. This is especially impressive given tha...t the county I was charged in has among the strictest reckless driving enforcement in the country. I talked to over 10 lawyers, and from the get-go Douglas stuck out to me as the best possible option. In fact, I was so confident in his abilities that I ended up leaving the original attorney I hired to go with him. He takes the time to explain everything as well as give you a detailed, actionable list of ways to address this charge. This list offers much more guidance than the other lawyers I talked to, including the one I had initially hired. Had I not gone with Douglas, my case would have gone a lot differently. He is also pleasant to talk to, which is always a plus.
