Reckless driving ticket dismissed.

Mr. McGee is the best attorney for speeding in Virginia!

I was charged with Reckless Driving (80MPH in a 55MPH) Mr. McGee was able to get it reduced to to Speeding (69 MPH) thereby avoiding a misdemeanor conviction, potential jail, license suspension, additional Virginia points and higher fines. The ticked I had to pay was $250 compared to a Reckless Drivi...ng ticket which can cost up to $2,500 in Virginia. He is extremely easy to work with, has excellent communication skills and provides clear and easy to follow instructions. If you follow Mr. McGee’s instructions I am sure you will be very happy with the outcome. If I could give him six stars I would it was a pleasure working with him.

Highly recommend

I hired Doug McGee after being charged with failing to move over a lane for a police vehicle parked on the side of the road. I didn't think I had time to get over, so I slowed down to 15 mph below the speed limit, but still found myself charged with a Class I Misdemeanor and a mandatory court date i...n Virginia (I was visiting from Texas). Doug responded promptly, treated me with kindness and understanding, and told me exactly what to do to get the best results in my case. He neither sugarcoated nor exaggerated the situation, but gave me realistic expectations of the range outcomes I could expect based on his years of experience and knowledge of the particular court I was dealing with. Doug was able to waive my appearance in court and represent me in my absence, saving me additional expense and stress. He requested a lot of prep work from me (driver improvement classes, community service, etc.), but I followed all of his suggestions and achieved an even better result than he expected - complete dismissal of the charge following 6 months of clean driving. Doug is truly gifted at what he does. He is a person of great integrity and compassion who treats his clients, the police, and all members of the court system with the utmost respect and calls out the best in each person to bring about a resolution.

Wonderful!

Doug was absolutely wonderful when we hired him to help my son with a reckless driving ticket. He thoroughly explained the process and helped us to preemptively prepare for the upcoming court date. Great communication skills and not going to take advantage of your wallet!

Excellent representation and best possible outcome

I hired Doug, after being involved in a car accident and being charged with reckless driving in VA. Doug was the only attorney that I spoke to that spent time with me and explained to me over the phone the process, why I got charged and what are the next steps with detail. Even during the initial... consultation, he took the time to speak to me and allowed me to ask any questions I had, without feeling rushed. He didn't try to scare me as some other attorneys/paralegals did, but explained to me what the possible outcomes could be in my case (and not just scare me about jail time). Since my case was unique, in the nature that I caused the accident when my car hydroplaned, I wanted to have a more personalized representation and not being bundled with a bunch of other cases and Doug offered that. He asked me for all the required documentation and made recommendations on things to do before the court and was in continuous communication with me and gave me feedback on the documents and information that I provided. He was able to compile everything, build my profile and present it to the court. I was honestly expecting as a best-case scenario, since I caused the accident, for the ticket to be reduced to a lesser offense, but he was able to completely dismiss it. I cannot recommend Doug highly enough and even if my case hadn't been dismissed, I would have still given him 5 stars, as my experience has been excellent throughout the process.
