Reckless Driving Infraction

I hired Doug after being ticketed for Reckless Driving in the city of Roanoke. Doug did an excellent job of setting expectations, educating me on what would be required for my Defense and communicating with me regarding court scheduling and appearances. Fortunately, Doug was enable to make it such ...that I didn't have to appear in court, which was very advantageous due to me living in Northern Virginia. I would highly recommend Doug as he is both professional and personable.

Doug is the best

I had never been pulled over and never needed a lawyer before. But, I got my first speeding ticket (and a reckless one at that), and I was so scared. Doug was so kind, informative, and walked me through the process step-by-step. I appreciated his honesty and transparency. He notified me when my case ...was scheduled, and shared the outcome via a phone call where he explained what the reduced charge was. He got my ticket from the highest charge down to the lowest charge. Hopefully I never ever need him again, but I would hire him again in a heartbeat if I did. Thank you, Doug!

Cannot Recommend Doug Highly Enough!

As the title says, I cannot recommend Doug McGee highly enough. I got a speeding ticket (15 mph over) on an interstate drive, and after my matter was referred to Doug, he called me in what could not have been more than five minutes later. Doug took the time to speak with me about my case, weigh optio...ns with me, and, beyond that, just chat. I felt like I got to know Doug even through just our short interactions, and he is not only a great lawyer, but a great person. Ultimately, he helped get the charge reduced to a nonmoving violation, and kept me informed along the way. Once again, I would highly recommend Doug!

An Absolute Hero: Reckless Reduced to Non-Moving Infraction

If you are facing a reckless driving charge (or similar) in VA, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN DOUGLAS. He helped me through a very high-stress time. I received a reckless charge in Smyth County, VA (having had *two* previous traffic tickets in VA), and yet Doug far exceeded my expectations, managing to get th...e reckless charge reduced to a mere non-moving infraction. Great Lawyer!

I was pulled over in southern Virginia on my way to my travel job for speeding which resulted in a reckless driving ticket. I contacted Mr McGee and explained what had occurred and if he could provide legal assistance. After speaking with him I quickly understood the implications that this speeding t...icket could have on my life. I retained Mr McGee to represent me. He explained what steps I should take to help in my case which included online driver training, community service, speedometer calibration, driving records and personal references. I completed the recommendations that Mr McGee suggested and provided him with all the documentation to support my case. Mr McGee represented me on my court date and I did not have to make the long trip to Smyth County for the court appearance. The outcome of my case turned out to be very good. The reckless driving charge was dropped and I was charged with speeding 9 mph over the posted limit resulting in a small fine and court costs. I cannot thank Mr McGee enough! He did an outstanding job with my case keeping me well informed during the entire process. I highly recommend Mr McGee and would not hesitate to retain him again if the need arises.
