Reckless Driving 89/70 on I95

I hired Attorney McGee for my reckless driving ticket I got in Nov 2021. He contacted me almost immediately after inquiring about his services, advising me on what the next steps are and ensuring me he would do his best to secure the best outcome. His fees were well worth it than some of those fly by... night low fee $300 attorneys who don’t really take the time to invest in your case. Attorney McGee was in contact with me sometimes later in the evening, showing personal interest in my case. He got my ticket reduced to a defective speedometer charge and a $250 fine. A lot better than having a criminal record. Thanks Attorney McGee for all you do!

Exceptional Service and Result

As an out of state driver charged with a 4 point speeding violation, I did a google search for legal assistance. Believe me, Doug is THE legal counsel you need. After I filled out a form for contact, Doug called me back that same night, we talked briefly about my violation and the conversation was h...onest and straight to the point. Doug then followed up with email outlining exactly what we talked about and some steps that I should complete to help mitigate the case. Due to my schedule, I was unable to complete the mitigating steps requested and did not expect leniency from the courts. Despite giving Doug very little to work with in the courtroom, he successfully argued on my behalf for a defective equipment charge. I could not be happier with the level of service, communication and result from Douglas McGee. Thank you!

Stellar guy

I caught a "reckless by speed" on rt. 3 in King George County...... 76 in a 45 zone. There were clear indications that something with the stop was fishy. One being I didn't get pulled over for 2.2 miles from where I was supposedly clocked, and more. I called around for about a week, talking with ...attorneys. Spoke with Doug one evening and he literally dropped what he was doing and spent about 40 minutes explaining his view, the possible outcomes and various things I could do to better my position. First hearing Doug could tell something was off, I as well had not completed one of my tasks, which was an online class. Doug got the trial postponed and even got the Judge to scratch his previous markings! Month later, second hearing, I finished up the class, Doug explained me very well (which I do have alot on my side, no tickets for 15 years, no points, good job, single father etc.) and the Judge literally asked "Mr. McGee, what do you want me to do here?" No bullspit.... Doug asked for a 30.1 so I walked out with NO POINTS AND $100 fine!! Completely unheard of in VA, as far as I am aware of. This could have been devastating for me, 6 points, thousands in fines, possible jail time. Doug nailed it! He is well connected and respected in the system, which was evident. He will spend as long as it takes explaining details. Very down to earth. Even if this did not work out this well, I would still have 5 stars up. Thanks Doug!!!!!

Hit & Run, driving on suspended, etc.

Doug is such an amazing lawyer. My husband and I were referred to him by a close friend and we are so grateful for him. My husband was driving on a suspended license due to not having insurance coverage. He was driving us home one day when our tires slid on ice and ended up hitting two vehicles. My h...usband had and anxiety attack and fled the scene and could not take his foot off the gas. The entire situation was a mess and we just knew to expect the worse. With Doug as our back bone, my husbands felony was dropped to a misdemeanor, no jail time and no suspended license. Never in our lives did we feel so secure to know Doug would handle everything the way he should. Every phone call and text message was answered. I would recommend him to anyone! Doug, thank you for everything. You’re truly a blessing!

Reckless driving

I was stopped doing 104 in a 70 on my way home from visiting family. I just didn't notice the speed. When I got home the search for an attorney started. Douglas was given my case from another lawfirm and I am glad they gave it to him. He always made time to answer my many questions and was very easy ...to talk to. He made sure i understood what consequences I could possibly face but also lead me in the right direction to help mitigate things before court. I followed all of his instructions and it payed off. With his help i went from possibly facing a year jail time with over 2000 in fines and a possible suspended license to a 250 dollar fine and court fees. He was able to get it taken down to Improper operation. All I can say is if you need an attorney Douglas is your man. I can't recommend him enough .
