Ms. Newkirk demanded strict deadlines from us for paperwork to be returned to her. However, she failed to adhere to any type of timelines or bother to keep up regular communication. When extended time went by, crazy excuses began to come out as to why the work was not being done. Things were blame...d on an assistant with a "brain tumor" when who knows if this is true but what happened to her doing her job? Now, she unfortunately had a medical situation arise and was unable to attend to the paperwork. I understand that this is rough and I wish her the very best in this. However, cases still need to be attended to. This is when others help take care of your work and you take care of you. Work is not ignored. People pay attorneys large sums of money for their work. This no fault divorce paperwork has taken nearly 2 months. We had another attorney to go with and feel that we certainly should have done this. No, I would not recommend Ms. Newkirk to anyone for any important or timely legal services.

I want to begin by addressing the review left 7 days prior for this attorney. This is not something I would typically do, but to say it rubbed me wrong does not even begin to describe my thoughts. I, too, am a current client. I, too, am paying for something I would rather not spend my money on. I,... too, want resolution sooner rather than later. With all that said, I realize that !*#% happens beyond our control. That is exactly what happened in her situation and the "excuses" judged inadequate by the reviewer shine the light a lot brighter on the information they voluntarily offered. As stated in the title of this review, I am a second time client. The first time around, I was scared- way out of my element. I had not realized how much behind the scenes work had been done util I tried to do it myself this time. Well' I made a mistake that I will more than likely be paying a lot more for than what I thought I was saving. I am praying she is able to get me out of this mess like she did the first time. Her arguemsnts are bold, factual, well planned and strategic. She collects a vast array of information and surfaces armed with a concise, client goal driven battle plan that she knows backward and forward. I did not witness her rattle or back down. I felt that she was well respected by colleagues and the judge. She never sugar coated. If anything, I had expected far less than what she requested and was granted. What I believe I am trying to say is that, I know she is human and not perfect, but after already working with her previously, I have know she is going to fight on my behalf trying to be. Her education is not the only stellar thing about her.

Eileen helped us in adopting our daughter from foster care. We had met with 5, yes 5 other lawyers and they were not comfortable in handling our case because it was with in the foster care system. She was very professional and personal and she made us feel very comfortable during the whole dragged ...out process. We will always be greatful to her for our baby girl.
