Sharon Barbara Frank Ten

When I retained Sharon Ten to represent me in my divorce I provided her with an already drafted separation agreement written by my mediator. I simply needed Sharon to review my agreement to ensure I was fully protected and start the filing process with the court. She sat on my file for over 4 months ...and did nothing....and I mean absolutely nothing with my case. I found out nothing was filed with the court and she refused to return my multiple calls. She billed me over $600 for work not performed and deducted it from my retainer. I terminated my relationship with her and hired another attorney who provided me with a property settlement agreement and started the filing process in 3 short days. He let me know that the separation agreement drafted by the mediator did not protect me in any way, and that he was amazed that Sharon did not advise me of that. I’m not sure why she felt it was OK to allow my case to sit untouched for 4 months but I have found her lack of response to be extremely troubling. It delayed my divorce and my ability to transition through a troubling phase of my life. I'm writing this review in hopes that it will prevent others from experiencing the same thing. I did receive a full refund of my retainer when I terminated my relationship when I suggested I might have to file an inquiry with the State Bar.
