After 31 years of marriage, I had a nasty contested divorce case that lasted over 7 years. I had two lawyers before I retained Ms. Nupur Bal; they did not do much in my case, especially my 2nd lawyer who cost me thousands of dollars and all I got was a lot of stress and some emails for a whole year. ... That lawyer made no progress. Once I hired Nupur, the whole case started to be on the right track. She is exceptionally professional and hard working. She focused on my case and targeted finishing this protracted case. I spent a year and a half with Nupur because of my difficult ex-husband who did not comply with discovery, subpoenas, or even multiple court orders. Nupur was patient and was able to deal with all the obstacles in my case. She knew how to handle opposing counsel, even when my ex-husband hired another new attorney at the last minute. Nupur identified areas of my case that needed court intervention and she was ready to file motions and go to court. She was well prepared in court, which I believe made a lasting impact on the judge. She also knew when to negotiate and mediate certain other aspects outside of court. She is truly an excellent attorney who is honest and trustworthy. She is wise in her advocacy and courteous in her communications whether it was with opposing counsel, the judge, or with me. She dealt with my case as if I am a member of her family. She is tough when it comes to advocating on behalf of her client and she is equally as sweet and gentle when it came to communicating with me.
