Over priced and not able to contact after payment

Vaughn Jones is an over priced lawyer. Once he gets your money you will not be able to contact him. There is no one physically at his law office. He only returned my call when I stated I would not be using him for my daughter’s case. Whom he never spoke with. He called me with his arrogant smart mout...h. He would not give me a full refund. Only if i repeated after him on the phone saying he was a good lawyer which was not true. I think he was trying to record me saying this. And to beg for my full refund since he was not representing my daughter. Please do your research and don’t give him your money. You will never hear from him afterwards. Wish I had did my research. There are other lawyers!

An outstanding trial attorney

Vaughan was worth every cent and in reality an actual bargain for his skills and acumen. I selected him to defend my brother in law on a trumped up felony ($36K) insurance fraud case that the insurance firm clearly didn't want to waste their own money pursuing in civil court so passed it to a local p...rosecutor to spend our tax dollars on. Throughout the process, Vaughan was supportive and thought about various legal angles quickly on his feet. He believed my brother in law's innocence and that made him an even better advocate for us as he rejected the ridiculous plea bargains that were presented when he could have advised us to accept them and be done with the case. As some others have pointed out in their reviews, Vaughan is not always the most communicative and can be hard to get a hold of. However, I didn't reduce any stars because I wanted to make a crucial point in his defense here - he's a busy man and you get what you pay for. In order to provide his clients with those great competitive rates to defend their cases, he's got to take on more clients to be profitable. More clients means less time for the feel good hand holding and red carpet treatment one might like and expect from their lawyer in a time of crisis. Vaughan is more than happy to discuss your case with you, you just need to be proactive and willing to be persistent with phone calls and email reminders to bring yourself to the top of his hand holding priority list (i.e. he's triaging clients - is there something you need to know about your case like a plea bargain has been made? he's going to call you proactively. it's three month's till your court date and you just want to know what's the status on things? you need to call him). In the end, the very reasons I hired him: former prosecutor experience for the best price were validated hundred fold. He won the case and it was not by any means an easy or clear cut victory. It came down to legal briefs and a key legal argument. So, shop around all you like for a lawyer, but make sure you get a consultation with Vaughan because you may overpay or get someone less skilled otherwise! Thank you, Vaughan, for your hard work and your time willing to defend my brother in law! I can't sing your praises enough.

The BEST Criminal Defense Attorney in Richmond

Vaughan C. Jones has done an outstanding job representing my son in a very difficult situation. Mr. Jones has extensive knowledge regarding the juvenile justice system. I have had absolutely no difficulty reaching him. He is prompt and thorough at every angle. He is also honest when emotions are high... and doesn't promise things he knows he cannot deliver. His office staff was professional and courtesy. As a person who has been involved in the court system personally for more than 20 years I stand by him unreservedly. If you seek knowledge, truth and professionalism you need to look no further than Vaughan C. Jones.

Incredibly Amazing Attorney!

Mr. Jones is such an incredibly amazing criminal defense attorney. I was accused of crimes that I didn't commit and was exonerated. I felt like I was in good and caring hands all the way from the beginning to the preliminary trial day. Mr. Jones was available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns ...that I had. His legal secretary Spring is wonderful, very personable, caring, always kept me in the loop, informed me of any changes, and helped to set my mind at ease through this process. Mr. Jones walked into that courtroom with me confident and ready to fight tooth & nail to defend me and my freedom. Mr. Jones had advised and assured me that my case would resolve itself even before the trial date came and it did as he predicted! I had beyond amazing results! My innocence was proven. All 4 felony charges were dropped that carried 5 to 25 years each. I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is my attorney for life as I would never use anyone else for any legal needs and I would highly recommend him to anyone with a legal defense need without hesitation! He will always be my guardian angel!

Angry ex in laws

I had a situation with my sons mother once I received more visitation with my son. Her mom said I used profanity on my cell phone when I called her cell phone to speak with my son. She filed some bogus charge like bullying [some new cell phone law in VA]. An arrest warrant came in the mail to my ...home in MD from VA [where my son lives] and I had to drive back to VA [I pick up my son and drive to MD] and Mr. Vaughan Jones was available to talk, discuss this law and the charges I was facing, and meet me at the jail where the arrest warrant directed me [I wasn't processed I guess because I had no record] I was cleared so if stopped I wouldn't get arrested. Mr. Jones made me feel way more comfortable and at ease. We got the case dismissed. Long story but I would definitely use Mr. Vaughan Jones again if needed. Thank you Mr. Jones.
