Stephen David Burns

Stephen's focus is special needs planning, guardianships and conservatorships, estate planning and administration and fiduciary litigation.

Additionally, Stephen's practice also focuses on investment and employment related matters in wealth management (including brokerage firms and registered investment advisors). Many of these disputes proceed in FINRA arbitration

Stephen has guided hundreds of families through the guardianship and conservatorship process, advised families on asset management for their special needs child, and prepared special needs trusts to protect assets and to ensure adults with disabilities retained their Social Security and Medicaid eligibility. He has served as a guardian, conservator, and trustee for members of the community, and have represented individuals in contested guardianship and conservatorship matters.

Stephen has extensive experience advising individuals and families with their estate planning, which includes the preparation of Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Medical Directives, and Wills and Trusts. Additionally, he assists families with estate administration after the death of a loved one.
