Worst Lawyer Ever

Brought a case against me after 10 years of waiting, and delaying. Only to find out in Court in front of the Judge and Jury that his lying client, the Plaintiff had 9 Felony convictions in that very Court 8 years previously which she lied about in Court that day. Needless to say I was exonerated bu...t Henry had nothing but egg on his face.

Forgetful at Best

We paid for a consultation, and hired an attorney, Henry McLaughlin, to represent our family in a case against Bank of America, during the wrongful foreclosures by financial institutions of 2010. Henry McLaughlin assured us that we had a good case and we had nothing to worry about. After a year,... we learned that Henry McLaughlin had not even filed our case with the court system. Our case had reached its statutory time limit, and we could no longer sue Bank of America for a wrongful foreclosure. So, not only did we lose our home, we also lost my VA Loan. As a Veteran; that is one of the best benefits you can receive for serving our country. The problem: The problem is that Henry McLaughlin does not seem to be concerned. He said, “I apologize, I dropped the ball.” Dropping the ball is one thing; however, this was careless, irresponsible and simple negligence. What can be done? Who will take responsibility? Why is it that no one is held accountable? There has to be a change in our system of classlessness. This is to take a stand against attorneys who do not do their job, and against a state that does not hold the product of attorney that it produces accountable! The State Bar finds that this was a simple mistake; but no one is trying to help me get back on track or get my VA Loan satisfied. With a clear conscience I say to you; please, whatever you do, DO NOT hire Henry McLaughlin as your attorney. I am sure there are many other attorneys that will accept your retainer and work for you; not take the money and put in the bank to gain interests.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I'm a Bankruptcy lawyer in Fairfax, VA. I recently had a client who couldn't protect his house in Bankruptcy, so I turned to Henry for assistance. He is incredibly knowledgeable and immediately found a problem with the Notice of Sale. With his assistance, we were able to convince the Trustee to cancel the sale. Henry absolutely knows his stuff and is willing to take on cases on very short notice. I could not recommend him more highly."
