Barry Cameron Hodge

This was the worst experience I ever had dealing with any professional. Mr. Hodge was firm with the me, soft with the opposing attorney and hid from the judge. He would criticize me and the situation of my family, allowed the opposing attorney to control the terms, such as agreeing to temporary v...isitation orders that I, nor my child wanted, and never presented my case before the judge. He withdrew himself from the case while it was still open. I had already payed him in excess on $20k and still owed him a few thousand dollars, which mostly involved him responding to my emails asking him to stay and close my case. The only legal documents I remember him submitting to the court were his petition to withdraw and a judgement he file against me after I stopped making payments when he left.

Before retaining Mr. Hodge, Mr. Hodge told me it would be $2500 to represent me for a motions hearing, the first thing coming up in the case. When the case was dismissed at the motions hearing, Mr. Hodge took the entire $5,000 retainer I had given him to represent me for the entire case, even though ...he had told me it would only cost $2500 to handle that first hearing! Mr. Hodge was well prepared, was able to show errors in the legal arguments of the opposing attorney, is excellent in court and is excellent at legal strategy. Just make sure you get written agreements and limitations on costs with this attorney spelled out in as much detail as possible!!!
