About Kitt
Biography
Kitt Mattingly launched Mattingly Family Law in 2023, after practicing in the family law division of Davidson & Kitzmann since 2007. Her areas of specialization include divorce and family law, appeals, collaborative law, and civil litigation.
Kitt received both her J.D. and B.A. from the University of Virginia. Prior to attending law school, she earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from Georgetown University, where she was the recipient of a Newcombe Doctoral Fellowship. Following law school, Kitt completed a year-long clerkship with the Honorable Richard B. Potter in Manassas, Virginia.
Kitt is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia and the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association.
Kitt Mattingly routinely handles family law Appeals. She is also trained in Collaborative Law.
