My husband hired him for a custody case, twice. Mr. Brown sounds very helpful during initial consultation, but does not follow through. He avoided phone calls and emails, even when we asked him how to proceed with matters. He advised us to fight for full custody, only to consult with the opposing att...orney and get a worse visitation arrangement than before. My husband lost time with his kids as a result. Mr. Brown was sent documentation such as photos, emails, screen shots, etc, but was extremely unprepared for the hearings and did not fight for our family. After many attempts to call, email, and visit at his office to prepare for the hearing, all of which he avoided, he decided to finally consult with us for 10 minutes the evening before and 10 minutes directly before the hearing. Even the judge fussed at the attorneys for not being prepared. He asked for a list of witnesses and counselors for our kids and never called them in nor asked the guardian ad listen to consult with them. Hiring him was a gross waste of our time and money.

I hired Mr. Brown because I had researched him and read reviews. Every single one I read was positive! My experience is anything but. I hired Mr. Beown for a Child custody and support case. I paid $100 for the 1 hour consultation. Mr. Brown laid everything out and told me what he was going to do. I h...ired him right on the spot. I paid $2,500 CASH. My child's Father has an alcohol problem. However he does not have any DUi's on his record and I knew it would be hard to prove exactly how he would have to have supervised vistation only. I had loads of rear messages, things I had written down, and 2 witnesses to my ex's alcoholism. I thought he would of made arrangements with me to let me know what's going to happen in court. Nope he never called or texted me at all. The only time I spoke with him is when I had a question about something and that was it. He asked me THREE times about what my witnesses names, addresses etc. Were. I had given him all the text messages 2 months prior to our court date. When court finally came around he didn't call a major witness that I told him was a "star witness" to my ex's behavior. He had ME look through all the text messages and when I was on the stand I noticed him looking through the text messages I had printed out while I was being questioned by my ex's lawyer. I had to say objection on my own twice because he was too busy looking through all the evidence I had given him and his cell phone! My son's Father even admitted he does have a problem with drinking on the stand and guess what?! He gets my 1 year old son UNSUPERVISED and not only that he is in charge of ALL transportation BUT the ignorant judge did order a substance abuse evaluation on him. BIG WOW. Mr. Brown did NOT take care of me as his client. He left me in the dark about everything and what to expect in court. PLEASE do NOT use Mr. Brown as your lawyer in a child custody case if the other parent is not in the best interest or safety for your child.

I don't usually post reviews but after 4 years of outstanding service Joseph Brown deserves it! He represented me on a child custody, child support and divorce matter. He's proven that he will fight diligently and relentlessly to ensure that justice is served on the behalf of his clients. He's high...ly proficient and well-versed with regard to his knowledge of the law which makes him extremely skillful and thorough in the courtroom. What I most appreciated was that he was relatable, he understood my needs and saw the big picture for my case and worked hard to get me everything I was entitled to. He was never too busy to return phone calls in a timely fashion and educated me about how the law affected my case. He's obviously someone who has a passion for the law and takes his work very seriously. He's fees are reasonable and well worth it! I’ve even recommended him to several colleagues of mine who said great things about him too. If you are in need of legal services I totally recommend Joseph Brown. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I do not usually fill out reviews but Mr Brown deserves a review. I first met with him at a time in my life when I was nervous wreck trying to raise three children on my own while attending school and desperate to keep my children in a healthy environment, safe and nourished. Mr Brown helped me and... my family through the entire process. He took time from his family whenever I was needing to speak with him. I was only avail for meetings on the weekends but that was also the only time I had to spend with my kids because of our schedules. Mr Brown made time for me based on my schedule and he also drove to meet me where it was more convenient for me so I wouldn't have to leave my children. The kindness he showed me and my family was something my kids even recognized. I would recommend Mr Brown with out hesitation to anyone looking for an outstanding attorney with an outstanding character.
