About me

Rebecca Eichler, a first-generation American, has practiced
exclusively immigration law for over ten years. She began her career as a
staff attorney at Hogar Hispano, Catholic Charities then with Legal
Services of Northern Virginia, before launching a private practice.

Her experience spans the range of employment and family-based
immigration petitions, including PERM labor certifications and H-1B
visas, fiancé petitions, consular processing, one-step adjustment of
status and naturalization. She has also successfully represented
clients in affirmative and defensive asylum proceedings before the
Immigration Service and the Immigration Court, as well as petitions
under the Violence Against Women Act for immigrant survivors of domestic
violence.

In 2008 she spent three months volunteering in Ecuador assisting
Colombian refugees in their Refugee Status Determination process before
the Ecuadorian government. She has also worked for non-profit
organizations in Cambodia and Guatemala and has lived in Germany, the
United Kingdom, and France.

Ms. Eichler received her undergraduate degree in International Relations
and Geography, with a minor in French, from Boston University on an
ROTC scholarship. She was commissioned as an officer in the US Army.
She earned her law degree at the William and Mary School of Law in
Williamsburg, Virginia followed by a Master of Laws in International
Human Rights from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London
as the Draper's Scholar. She speaks Spanish, German, and passable
French.
