Nicholas Balland is the man for the job!! He knows all the right people and trust me when I say, they all know him. I’ve met Mr. Balland as a youth and he has always been my first phone call when I needing help, whether it was traffic or criminal. Long story short, I was facing felony charges and mul...tiple years behind bars. I was able to take a plea deal of probation upon completing a program.

I get doubt about his knowledge even this lawyer is too old and has funny dye hair and has no experience in penal cases he only can fix minor transit tickets for sure take me a lot of time and lose hours go and by to his opulent office in Clarendon even he said that is good in immigration cases, but ...I found that he was involved in some strange scam immigration cases, found that he has a really bad reputation in Arlington, found he was in jail and many other embarrassment situations, definitely I do not hire this lawyer again... beware

Divorce is a difficult experience. Unlike Olympic Diving, one does not get extra points for an added degree of difficulty. As such, I am very disappointed by the treatment I received from Nick Ballad. Although he is a smart man, he treated me like a number, frequently got my name wrong, and rarely ...kept me informed on the status of my divorce. Whenever I tried to call him, he either wasn't available or would get off the phone with me in less than 30 seconds. I saw him do the same thing to other clients when they called him. At one point, after he had supposedly filed my paperwork, he forgot who I was. In Virginia, it should take 6 months to get a divorce (assuming there are no kids involved). My divorce has taken over nine months, and is still not finalized. He also charged me additional money on top of his flat fee without actually doing additional work. This is no way to treat clients.

He lied about the work he was doing for my case. He never communicated with the attorney whose client was pressing charges against me. He told me every time I spoke to him leading up to the case that the charges against me would be dropped and I had nothing to worry about. When I arrived at court he ...said "well they are going to press charges and you should just plead guilty." I had no choice but to do this and today I have a false criminal records because of this man.
