Lien advice / filing

I hired Ken to help file a lien for work I was not being paid. He was thorough in asking questions, making sure we didn't get caught with a loophole. Overall, I was expecting a steeper bill and he came in less than the retainer. A good experience for me!

Immature and Conscending

Stay away from this guy! I called him regarding an upcoming Eviction Hearing. Instead of being polite and respectful he decided to be condescending-thinking he was talking to his child or someone beneath him. For example when I told him I live in a room in a 5-bedroom house in Arlington, he stated "...Really- There's a five-bedroom house in Arlington?" His level of sarcasm, ignorance and immaturity are unbelievable. No wonder there's absolutely no reviews about his work and the first one will be abysmal-what a shame!!! Just stay away from this guy. He probably thought he would get away with his countenance and I have written a review already on Google in which he falsely stated that I was abusive and combative which was a complete reflection of his professionalism or lack thereof. His emotional intelligence is at an all-time low and I would recommend any potential client to stay away from this guy.

Replied last July 15, 2024

Potential client refused to answer basic and direct questions. When pressed for answers he became evasive, hostile, defensive, and verbally abusive. Interest in the number of bedrooms was related to a potential defense or collateral defense given Arlington County’s “4 unrelated rule” for rental properties but potential client reacted to questions with hostility. Declined to represent.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
