I would give -1 star if I could. I have a consultation scheduled. I arrived on time, followed the instructions at arrival. He did not show up for the consultation, I send him a text message that I was present, did not respond, and he did not even have a voicemail box set up. I would not recommend... you use him as a lawyer. He did not apologize and he did not even text me back, he called me 24 hours later b/c he thought I was a new consultation. I wasted time taking off work, gas money, and parking to meet with a lawyer who does not show up, and was not even apologetic. I agree with the rest of the reviews saying he is unprofessional. I should have gone with my gut feeling when he told me to arrive, and there was no formal intake or calendar invitation. It felt like he a one man show, and that is what I still think given he didn’t show up.

An excellent legal strategist and tactician, Mr. DeVita's command of the courtroom and determination are what every reasonable client should be fortunate enough to have in their corner. Mr. DeVita also demonstrated the highest degree of integrity throughout both cases.

Worst lawyer I have ever dealt with in my life. He is unprofessional and uncaring. Did not follow up and made me feel completely abandoned. He was unsuccessful in my case and in one instance he lost to my ex-wife who did not even have an attorney. Horrible person run the other way and never retai...n him.

I hired and was officially retained by Mr. James Devita (www.devitalaw.com last year as a Family lawyer. He was extremely confident in my case at first and sent out a financial demand letter to the defendants in our case. However, once the defendants hired their own lawyer, I realize James Devita had... not done the appropriate research required for my case and when he decided that my case wasn't a 'done deal monetarily speaking', he dropped me immediately. In addition, he rarely returned my calls and sometimes when he did call my number, he was confused as to whom he was calling.... this was my expereince, but before hiring him as your personal lawyer, please do your research.
