John Andrew Taylor

After graduating with honors from George Mason University with a B.A. in Government and International Politics in 2004, Mr. Taylor earned his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2007.

During law school, Mr. Taylor represented his class to the Student Bar Association, while also working in an administrative capacity for the law school. During his last two years of law school, he worked in the the office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Alexandria, prosecuting a variety of traffic and criminal matters.

Upon graduation, Mr. Taylor worked with a number of small criminal defense and family law firms in Manassas, Virginia. In 2010, he opened his own practice in Manassas, Virginia.

Since that time, Mr. Taylor has focused his practice on family law, and represented clients in courts throughout Virginia, including the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia. His experience provides him with valuable insight that he now provides to his clients at Nichols Zauzig.

As Mr. Taylor’s client, you will find that, while he is sensitive to the long-term affects of family law issues, he provides passionate representation for his clients in the court room or through settlement negotiation. He makes all possible efforts to favorably resolve your case through a collaborative approach that ensures open and transparent client communication, but remains dedicated to trial advocacy when necessary.

Mr. Taylor has served as an instructor at the Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy, served as a volunteer judge for the Upper-Class Moot Court Competition at the George Mason University School of Law, is a member of the Prince William County Bar Association, and currently serves as the Brentsville District Director for the Prince William County Industrial Development Authority.

Outside of work, Mr. Taylor enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering for community service projects, and visiting the area’s local historical attractions.
