About Yordanos
Biography
My name is Yordanos Woldai and I am an immigration lawyer committed to advocating on behalf of individuals and families facing immigration issues. As a first-generation immigrant, I have a unique perspective on immigration related issues. My immigration practice involves all areas of immigration law, including: family-based immigration, fiancé(e) and marriage visas, adjustment of status, naturalization and U.S. citizenship, asylum, and removal/deportation defense.
I am an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and its Washington, DC Chapter. I am admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. I earned my Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law. During law school, I interned with the Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR).
