Dissatisfied with my Experience

I hired Christina Myers last year 2018, she was recommended by another attorney. During my consultation she appeared to be compassionate and expressed her ideas of defending me. However while working my case she signed me up to my previous employer for community service without my consent, which was ...a major career breach in Confidentiality. She apologized and retracted the request for community service from my old job. To be brief, after my hearing she never followed up with me or assisted me with any additional information regarding my next hearing. The day of my final hearing which I had no knowledge of and found out by being served, Christina canceled on me 2 hours before the hearing stating that she had personal issues. I had to go to court alone and defend myself to the judge. I later expressed my distaste for her cancellation and Christina shockingly resulted to using obscene profanity towards me then blocked my number. I consulted with another attorney who advised me to report her to the Virginia BAR. I will never hire or recommend for any citizen to hire her for their case.

This comment is false. I did not break confidentiality or cancel on her for anything within our agreed upon representation. Because of confidentiality, I don't want to go into why these allegations are false. Since this is an anonymous post, I can state that after negotiating with the prosecutor, I got her charges of assault and battery converted to trespass with a suspended imposition of sentence. This suspended imposition of sentence allowed her to have the charges dropped completely after a period of time. Because the assault and battery charges were dropped, this client was able to continue working in her field which required a license. This was the best possible outcome for this case.

The worst outcome

Really wished I did my own research instead of taking a friend’s word. I hired Christina M for my possession charge in Prince William County this year and I ended up staying 10 days in jail. She didn’t listen to any of my ideas of denfense and instead went to the prosecutors with her own plan which t...he judge flat out denied/ She convinced me that since it was my first charge I would most likely just get probation. my other friend walked with no record and I got locked up. Through out working my case It always took her days to get back to me, even my father got frustrated and wanted to drop her representing me. I will never hire her again.

This is categorically false review. This person was never my client. I have never had a client in Prince William County do 10 days in jail for possession. In fact, according to Virginia Code Section 18.2-251, a client would never do any time, but would have the charges dismissed after doing community service along with some other requirements. No judge would put a first offender in jail for this. This is libel. Probably the reason that this person is anonymous.
