I represent individuals in criminal defense and traffic law cases and investigations in federal and state courts throughout Northern Virginia, as well as personal injury cases. I treat every case with the dedication and zeal that it deserves, and I am always committed to obtaining the best possible resolution for each of my clients.
As a long-time resident of Fairfax County, I graduated from George Mason University, summa cum laude, with a bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice. I then earned a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law, summa cum laude, earning the distinction of being the class valedictorian. During law school, I gained practical experience in criminal law through internships at the Fairfax County Public Defender's Office, the Federal Public Defender's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for Arlington County, where I handled misdemeanor trials.
After graduating from law school, I gained valuable experience at a large, DC-based law firm advising insurance companies and representing them in complex litigation. I then joined the law firm Greenspun Shapiro PC, where I gained extensive experience representing individuals in matters ranging from traffic cases and civil litigation to serious criminal cases and investigations in state and federal courts throughout Northern Virginia.
My practice at Elsayed Law is focused on criminal and traffic defense, as well as personal injury cases. We handle cases ranging from simple misdemeanors and infractions up to serious cases, such as robberies and murders.

We would like to thank Muhammad Elsayed for the exceptional service he provided in representing our son during a very difficult time. Our son was facing serious drug charges with tremendously stiff penalties. Muhammad was extremely efficient and prepared at each stage of this process. He thoroughly...

My family hired Elsayed Law for a criminal case, and we had the privilege of working with Mr. Muhammad Elsayed. Mr. Elsayed was honest, diligent, articulate, knowledgeable, and effective. But perhaps the thing that impressed us the most about Mr. Elsayed is that nothing was "sugar-coated." He was ver...

OVERVIEW: The purpose of my review is to describe why Muhammad was the right attorney for me. For that reason, the discussion is less about the case itself and more about my thought process throughout the experience. MY LEGAL SITUATION: I needed to hire an attorney for the 1st time in my life, fac...
"It is clear from Muhammad's education, experience and responses on AVVO that he is a knowledgeable and capable advocate who cares about his clients. I endorse this lawyer."
"I have observed Muhammad’s work first hand. He has the respect of fellow lawyers and judges. He is one of the smartest attorneys I have ever met. I would recommend Muhammad to anyone in need of an attorney."
"Muhammad is a great lawyer, and more importantly, a great trial lawyer. There is a difference. If you're in trouble, you need a lawyer that is not afraid to go to trial. Muhammad has that trial experience, having represented clients charged with murder, malicious wounding, sexual offenses, drug offenses, and misdemeanors. Muhammad is honest and will not mislead you just to get your business. He is as genuine as they come."
"Muhammad is a very diligent, self-motivated, and sharp trial lawyer. I have known him as a lawyer since he started practicing and have personally known him all of his life as his sister. However, I do not recommend him because he is my brother. I have only heard wonderful things about him from attorneys and former clients alike. I refer my clients to him for criminal and traffic matters and they always sing his praises! His clients are certainly in good hands."
"As his colleague and friend, I am honored to write this endorsement for Muhammad-Mu'Ath Shaker Ahmed Elsayed. I have had the opportunity to observe Muhammad's talents professionally and I found him to be a highly skilled criminal defense attorney with experience, knowledge and passion. He is a savvy trial attorney with an amazing work ethic which he demonstrates every single day in every realm of our profession. While he is a serious advocate and genuinely invested in achieving the best possible outcome for his clients, Muhammad remains honest, kind and gentle in his mannerism and approach to human beings. These are worthy and commendable qualities to find in a person, most especially attorneys these days; however Muhammad embodies them naturally. He truly cares about people. He is well liked and respected among our legal community. I wholeheartedly endorse Muhammad and feel proud to call him my friend. I recommend you contact him for a consultation."
"Muhammad and I have worked together on simple to the most serious and complex matters. He is simply put one of the best to work with and to help our clients!"
"I have the privilege of working side by side with Muhammad in our firm. Although he joined our firm a few years after me, I have learned so much from him. An attorney with 25 years of experience is still no match to Muhammad, as his intelligence, work ethic, and passion cannot be beat. I have no hesitation endorsing him and am proud to call him my colleague."
"I've known Muhammad since law school, where he proved himself to be a promising future trial attorney. In my opinion, those promises have come true. I endorse Muhammad and am comfortable recommending him to family, clients, and friends."
"Muhammad is a keen attorney who researches and investigates his cases thoroughly to provide the best possible representation for his clients. He is also sympathetic and compassionate towards them. I'm proud to work alongside Muhammad and fully endorse him."
"I have known Mr. Elsayed since law school. He is a diligent worker who will provide competent advice and excellent legal services to all of his clients."
