Biography
As an attorney for KFFJ Law, James R. Kearney understands that people come to his firm because they’re in crisis. Whether they’ve experienced a devastating personal injury, been charged with a crime, or are facing a life-shattering divorce, his clients are dealing with enormous problems.
When Mr. Kearney isn’t practicing law, he spends much of his time at Falls Church High School, where he has coached girls’ basketball for 20 years. Not only has he coached the basketball team, he’s announced the school’s football, softball and volleyball games, served on the PTSA and served on the Board of Directors organizing fundraisers for the Athletic Boosters Club. In 2012, he received recognition for his outstanding contribution to high school athletics from the athletic directors whose schools make up the Northern Region of the Virginia High School League. A former infantry officer, his military service includes four years in the U. S. Army and a combat tour in Vietnam with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade. Mr. Kearney received the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for his service in Vietnam. He is currently a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He also likes to play golf and travel.
